Since Friday was Canada Day and today Independence Day, I started wondering what people do on the national holidays. What are your traditional foods? What do families usually do to celebrate?

We do the traditional family thing...

First we go to town and see the parade.. this year there wasn't as many tractors, but there were lots of fire engines.. lol then we are all at home, grill brats and burgers, have potatoe salad, pea salad and some other "picnic" type foods... sit and visit - sometimes play games and then when it is dark we go and see the fireworks.

I did take some pictures of the fireworks this year and will post them as soon as I locate the usb cord for the camera!

Spent the day with my son. We went down to the beach, then home and cooked up some burgers and fries. Later on we rented Van Helsig.

Good Day.

And did you get her panties PF?!

This is the first year in a long while I was not with my family(due to moving states), so I spent time with Booger's family. We had potluck and played games with the kids, swam in the pool and got to chat. We had some rain so we didn't go watch fireworks, but we shot off the rest we had. We can catch fireworks later this sumer at some local events.

We tend to do the 4th a little different every year. Sometimes we'll go out to a big display, sometimes we stay in and watch it on TV after cooking on the grill out back. Sometimes we don't even decide what we're doing until the day is half done.
