Paul Winchell, the voice of Tigger in Disney's Winnie the Pooh films, has died. He was 82.

Mr. Winchell, who was also the voice of Gargamel in The Smurfs and Boomer in The Fox and the Hound, last performed as Tigger in 1999.

That's so sad! As a child I loved watching his Saturday morning kids show.
Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney, with his other "dummy" Knucklehead Smiff.
It was a really great show. He was an extremely talented man. He will be missed. :(

That is sad. Almost an icon.

So many of the truly greats are leaving us. Let's just hope he's in a better place entertaining the angels. :)

John Feidler was a wonderful character actor. One of those you see in films and you almost never know their names. He was excellent in "12 Angry Men", among many others, as well as numerous guest appearances. I always enjoyed his performances.

Since we're losing voices from the "Winnie the Pooh" family, am I mistaken or have we also lost Sterling Holloway, who did the voice of "Pooh", as well as many other 'toon voices? It seems to me that he's also gone, but I'm not sure.
