Knowing some of you may be interested I did some looking around for articles that might help you to comprehend the gravity of the current legal situation for people involved in the adult entertainment industry.
What happens when I do a Google search on lesbians? Is Google now responsible to have all the names and addresses on file of every explicit image they display in a search? I don't know the answer but it's an overwhelming thought.

I feel sorry for adult performers who may have to risk having their home addresses made accessible on websites. That would be so scary.

What's also scary is the justice department's interest in having the means to "track" the search patterns and site access by private individuals and keeping those records. :eek
I know that isn't there yet, but it's scary to think they're interested in it.

If voting could change the system, it would be illegal.
If not voting could change the system, it would be illegal.

From my understanding of the articles and research - we as "producers of porn" have 30 days from the date (6/23) to either comply with the law and record (name, birthdate, pics) along with obtaining a governemnt ID (no drivers license allowed - it is a special ID) to be kept on record by the owners of PP in case there is such a complaint or "report".
In addition to that - the acutal physical address of the owners as well as those who submit to the site have to be published on the site. If such a complaint is received and acted upon by the "government" - then PP has to submit all records proving that we "producers" are all 18+ of age. If PP is not able to produce that required documentation then the site wil be shut down. From what I have read, the reach of the "porn patrol" can go as far back as 7 years?!?!
I am all for protecting our children - what I am not for us "using" our children as a scapegoat to go after an industry that "some" don't agree with.

I know that I have read quite a bit about the way this law is retro-active causing many webmasters serious difficulty.
