Yesterday while at the gym I was washing myself and noticed that I have 3 small black marks around my groin. (One directly on the scrotum between the sacks, one on the left side of my shaft, and another one on the right side of my shaft) All are located on the blood vessels as I can see the blood vessel than the black spot on it. (Is there a way I can post a picture? As I have a digi cam here and if someone can host it that'd be great)

Is this cancer? or what? I know awhile back ago, 2 months or so my g/f and I had a 3some with one of her friends so could I have picked up something?

I've also noticed the lining around my eyes have gotten ever so slightly itchy, not sure if it's hay fever or not but i've never allergies before.

I'm going to see a doc this friday, but I'd like some advice ahead of the appointment.

Please keep us posted. what you've described doesn't sound life-or-death (to me, anyway) but it's still worrisome, and we will all worry for you until you find out! (((((((huge hug!)))))))

well yeah it's got me spooked right now and got me thinking that the only other partner i've had within reasonable time frame (2+ yrs) was that 3some i had with my g/f not so far back (2 months ago).

I'll take some pictures of it once I get some time later tonight and upload them here, maybe one of you nurses can take a sneak peak at it and tell me something?!? (knowledge is power so lay it on me!!!)

Could it be something like scabies or something? As I recall hearing stories about dirty gym towels that can transmit something? Funny thing is i've been using the gym towels to wipe down after swims and after showers...maybe that wasn't too good of an idea...

Hey, well I don't think that really sounds like scabies, or testicular cancer.
I think it's great that you've already got your doctors appt. So many guys are either too embarrassed or ashamed to talk to their doctors about things like this. Here's a link with some pretty good pictures of different STD's so at least you can look through it, hope that it puts your mind at ease a little.

Yeah I did a search too for pics and the closest thing that even comes close to it is scabies. Although the black spot doesn't look anywhere near as dark as those in the pics...I know it might vary from person to person so not taking any chances...thing is I don't have any itches as per one of the symptoms for scabies.

How long does it take to get std testings back?

I have had scabies....and not a pleasent thing at all...if you had it you'd be itching like crazy!!

I didnt catch it sexually though...using the cream is easy...ya got to put it on every inch of ya skin twice a day...goes away quite quickly actually

I never had any sores just a rash...and no black spots either

well I'm mentally eliminating stds here...can't be warts or herpes as I don't have any bumps or anything like that. No chancre evident anywhere on my body so probably not syphillis. No signs of rashes on feet or hands which only point in the direction of gonorreha or chalmydia. But I haven't had any discharge at all but I did however have testicular pains not so long ago...I thought that was more because I got crotch mashed riding my mountain bike for 4 hours that day...hmmm

I've never gone in for a std test with the doctor, what do you say? I want a full std test because I think I have one?

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit paranoid here but I kinda of am *sighs*

Most doctors are very understanding about these things. Just let him/her know that you want to have screening done for different STD's even if the Dr. doesn't think that it's an std they should still do the blood work for you, because everyone should be checked periodically. Wish I had a picture to look at to see what I think it is, but I'm pretty sure it'll be ok. Doesn't sound like anything really

here's the picture on the left side, the one on the right is smaller and it's on the foreskin, I can't really get my camera right on the one between my scrotum.

hey I got one on the scrotum and that's pretty damn close to the testes, I wasn't sure what to make of it so hence why I came on here in hopes of maybe somebody else being able to recognize whatever the hell it is lol.

but as for freckles and moles? Can't say I have any freckles or moles, I have a few birth marks but they've never been there and considering there are 3 in my groin area that has me concerned.

Ya I hope the doc will know this friday...nicole any input?

Allase your right they are just moles according to the doctor - went today -, no concern at all according to her. Also got HIV and chilymidia tested to be 100% sure (should have results back in 2 weeks).

All i gotta say is i'm very happy I went as it brings peace to my mind, so any of you guys doubting of going to the doc and asking for an std screening, just go in and ask for it. It's painless and only took about 30mins of my time.

Other than that i'm going to enjoy the rest of my day now.. :cboy:

yeah that did get a load off my chest, cuz when I saw those marks for the first time at the gym i was like oohh shiattt... nearly crapped my pants out..

so the doc says i dont have any of the normal symptoms of any stds aside from the groin pain, but she says its because i ride my bike for 1hr 1/2 every other day and i'm getting crotch-mashed down there, any advice on how to fix that problem? Maybe I have to cut a hole in my bike seat or something.

I think they do have special seats for men. Check your local bike shop.

it didn't hurt? How is it done, if you don't mind me being nosy?

np, here's how it went literally...

walked into doctor's office said I had appt. Doctor came in and says what can i do for you. I say back I wanna get screend for stds. She asks any symptoms? why do you want to get tested? Some other things along that line...I answer the few questions she had (I think maybe 5-7 questions).

So after description of my problem, she wants to have a look at my penis "black marks" to make sure. So unzip, and pull out my jr. and she says it's normal, I showed her all three spots. No problem she says, it looks perfectly normal, tests my lymphnoids I think it was (Groin muscle area) for any pains and than says ok were going to test you for chlymidia and hiv and that'll require us taking a sample of your blood for hiv purposes and for the other, we'll need a urine sample and also a swab of the tip of your penis head/urethra.

After taking the blood samples and swabing for chlymidia, she says just use a condom always, which i do anyways. And says the results should be back in a 2 weeks. I'm about 99.9% sure I don't have hiv but chlymidia is a silent std which sometimes doesn't show any symptoms, so thus the swabing around my penis head and urine sample.

Other than that there was nothing to it, I was in and I was out.

Personally I didn't feel embarassed or anything walking in there. I just said I want to get screened to be 100% sure, better to know than not to know and it just takes a lot of confidence to walk through that door initially but once your in there just be professional about it, so guys/gals if you need to get tested, just do it. It's so easy to get tested, no intimidation factor at all or slighted looks from staff members and etc.

I'm glad everything went good for you
