I was just reading that a state senator in Kansas says that she's against the 19th Ammendment (http://www.kcstar.com/item/pages/local.pat,local/3acd030e.927,.html), and that if it came up today she would vote against it.
WTF?
First off, how can she say that, and not just as a woman, as a human being. Seondly, isn't it a bit hypocitical for her to be involved in goverment if, by her own admission, she shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Anybody here from Kansas...I'm sorry for you.

If I were a Kansas woman in her district I'd do everything within my power to see she never held an elected office again...not even dog catcher.

I'm just frightened that there are bound to be some people who are likely to still vote for her. Then again, this is a state that just put evolution on trial. I don't have a lot of respect left for them.

Whats wrong with a womans vote?

Note sure what not being a stay at home Mum has to do with voting...

Dunno bout you lot up over but here the government is forcing woman (single) back into the workforce as soon as their kids are 6...married couple need to both work to survive

That to me is gonna ruin the damn family unit more than voting!

Fuck that! This calls for ISIS!

(I wrote the other name first :D)Alassė we don't have particular rules like that but people are only allowed to collect social services for set amounts of time. I agree that the need for a dual income household in order to make it, can cause a serious breakdown of traditional family life. And because it is necessary I feel it's vital to empower alllllll types of families.
