I don't know how to phrase this question and maybe it is more appropriate in the Advice section.

But are there really women who, even though they may not be in an intimate/sexual relationship, find no interest in masturbating?
See? Still didn't get the phrasing right...
I suppose:
Are there any women here who really get nothing from masturbating, whether otherwise involved or not?
Hope this makes sense.
And the other question would be: if some women really do not care to masturbate, WHY?
Thanks

I can't say anything about women who don't care to masturbate, but some women have been taught that anything sex-related is bad. Including masturbation. So in some cases it's not that they don't want to, it's just that they've never tried, because "good girls don't do that."

well... see i'm new to the whole masterbation thing... i never did it till a few months ago. it sounds strange but i didnt know how, nor did i want to. I didnt like the idea of being able to gte myself off... to me it was exactly as FallenAngel said, not something 'good girls did'
then see i hung out w/ Playful... lol and my oppinions of things have drasticly changed. The idea still doesnt soudn appealing to me... ha but it feels good so i just gave into it. right or wrong theres my two cents

I can only answer for myself, but here goes...

Until I was 42, I never EVER masturbated. I always strongly felt that it was "his job" to keep me satisfied ( I DO NOT feel this way any longer, I don't know who that nutcase that lived in my skin was). I particularly shied away from battery operated toys because I didn't want my sexual satisfaction to be contingent upon whether or not I had fresh batteries.

Then I went to a pleasure party. I bought my first toy- the Kangaroo. It sat in the drawer untouched for months, and then one day in desperation I decided to fire it up. I immediately had 3 huge orgasms and the rest is history. That's when my life began to change, THANK GOD!

I now view sex and lovemaking as a team sport, but my orgasms are ultimately my own responsibility. I now masturbate on a regular basis, and I like to tell him about it when I do. I particularly like to call him when he's at work and I'm just about to cum :devilish:

i did not mean it that way... I meant... keep adding to these words. I meant an eagerness and interest in learning the truth about this.
of course... they can keep coming any which way they wish. And they are more than welcome to share what they know here.
Been checking out history of masturbation, too. It's really suffered terribly over the centuries. I say it is time for further vindication of masturbation!

"self love garden"
That's nice.

So many flowers.
What fragrance!

That was a great post flutelady and congrats on taking charge of your own orgasms. Just always remember to buy those batteries in bulk. ;) :x:

I started masturbating around 12 I think. Got funny feelings down there that just felt better when I rubbed it. :D

I continued using my fingers or some homemade toy like a hairbrush handle until Hubby got me my first vibe when I was 23. The rest is history with my love for sex toys and masturbation. :lurv:

I like to do it alone very much but when he is watching me play and I am watching him. That is just so very hot! :hot:

I guess the first time I ever did it was when I was 18 or so....not even sure how I ever started it, but didn't do it that much. But now, years later.....buddy watch out!

I've been doing it since....Middle school? I've always been the type of girl who isn't ashamed to play with herself :D

It's acceptable for guys to do it, so why shouldn't it be acceptable for girls?

I found that sweet spot when I was VERY young and I haven't stopped since. ;)

I started masturbating when I was 13 I think, my older sister taught me how and told me never to tell Mom. Well one day Mom asked me if I masturbated..and did I have orgasms, and said that's nice dear, it is very normal. Was the best thing my Mom could have said. Also that's the time I started fantazising about sex and have never stopped that either. :thumb:

no reports yet of women who masturbated, did not like it and stayed away from it.
Interesting.
Now - may I modify this and ask: If you went without an intimate partner and your means of pleasure was masturbation how long do you think you could go without doing it? Week? Month? Year?

A lot of sailing on this voyage? Or flying into space? Floating on the seas?

yep.
funny thing that perfection...it's proving rather ellusive and its execution depends upon my mood.

CAn't speak from personal experience (have been masturbating since I was a very young child and managed to unlock the secret to orgasm when I was 8!) but a friend of mine does not masturbate.

She's tried to, she has a couple of toys even, but she says she just feels silly and can't get into it. She's also unsure if she's ever had an orgasm with her partner (in my opinion, if you're not sure, then you haven't had one!) and she gets quite annoyed with herself for not being sexually open enough.

Not sure if it's her upbringing, just her as an individual, but while it's been condoned and encouraged for her since, it's still something that just doesn't interest her. Perhaps after one orgasm, she'd be hooked, but it's hard to unblock someone's brain in order to giver her that experience.
