Ummm....errrrr......done the experiment, purely in the interests of science mind you ;).

Our remote control egg is now bf's favorite toy ever. It isn't silent, but it's probably the quietest vibrator I've got. When in use...I can't tell if it can be detected...._I_ can hear the thing fine ;), but he says that he can't from several feet away. I should add, though, that we've not used it in public and I'm so very vocal that I'm not sure he'd hear the smoke alarm over me. At worst, it might sound like someone's ignoring a vibrating phone. Odds are, if there's any noise and some distance between people, no-one will hear a thing.

Maybe when bf gets back from his latest trip I could get him to help me field test it for you ;).

I have to say, I did buy one of those remote controlled eggs, however it doesn't seem to work very well...I don't know why but it's like there's not a good enough signal unless it's held really close to the remote.

I have a remote egg and a remote butterfly that were gifted to me for just such an experiement. I must caution you though, that one remote worked both toys at the same time. Who'd know that they operated on the exact same frequency? :yikes:

Long story short I was instructed to wear both at the same time and hand over the remotes at the assigned location, a bar. Needless to say the "surprise" of not knowing when he was going to "buzz" me certainly made for some interesting expressions I am sure.

I have purchased the vibrating egg, butterfly, vibrating panty and venus penis.

The egg is very quiet, but not as stimulating.
The venus penis and butterfly with insert are much more stimulating, but do make a bit more sound.

We have tested them a few times in public and not anything someone would hear. There are some realy cheap models that make lots of sound.

The other thing that helps is wearing tight Jeans. Keeps the vibrator close to body and in place better. They do sometimes move around when she gets wet.
