1. An inscription on a tombstone in memory of the one buried there.
2. A brief literary piece commemorating a deceased person.

If you could write your own (1) tombstone inscription, or (2) burial speech, what would it say?

(yet another MBA essay question...and this one got me thinking too)

If I could write my own tombstone inscription it would be something along the lines of.............
Oh never mind I just remembered I am supppose to be cremated..

So as a burial speech I would just have some one say.....

He wanted to make this short and sweet
Thank you for comming and thank you for
your friendship
Thank you for caring
and no I am not leaving anyone anything

so go home!!!!

Well I was just winging it here..........

She didn't have had the best of luck but she faced life with open arms & a smile.

(OK, it's not the most poetic but the thought is there. I'm out of coffee & drinking chai tea. I PRAY this stuff has caffeine :D)

Mine would be something short.

"Don't look for me here, You won't find me. Look in your hearts, cos there I am."

(((((Oldfart))))) ~~ that's damn close to my sentiment. Too damn close for comfort, in fact.

He didn't believe in God
And when he did, they argued.

Something like this is suited for me:

I cannot rest from travel: I will drink
Life to the lees: all times I have enjoyed
Greatly, have suffered greatly,
Both with those that loved me, and alone

Unfortunately, I don't think I'd change a word of it.
