I've been back on the dieting bandwagon.....thanks to this damn wedding coming up in a couple of months....and I've been trying to eat cereal at least two meals a day. Easy way to get vitamins and also eat fewer calories....

So, give me some suggestions for what to eat? What's your favorite cereal? And describe it a bit so the folks who live elsewhere can get an idea what it's like?

Good luck with the cereal diet. I tried that but I ended up starving. Weight Watches is a really good program very easy to follow too. Have you ever tried it?

My favorite cereal is probably Kelloggs- Frosted Flakes.

Barb

Personally I have a love of Rice Krispies, however Special K is good for that diet, or so the ads say. I also like Oatmeal.........hot breakfast food is good for what ails you......

mmmmm....I *love* oatmeal. It's my weekend treat....I add milk and almonds and fresh blueberries if I've got them. :slurp:

Currently, I am trying Kashi's Go Lean Crunch.....oat and soy clusters and VERY crunchy. Its claim to fame is high protein and fiber....I like the crunch.

My favorite standbys are Shredded Wheat (yes, I like it frosted), and Special K with Strawberries.

My favorite cereal and I don't like cereal for the most part is Kashi. I really like the Good Friends with the raisons and The Crunch one. It is tasty, very high in protein and fiber which are good for the diet.

Golden Grahams for moi. Quaker Oat Squares are excellent, as well!

I love old-fashioned oatmeal, too.

If it's good enough for Mikey, then it's good enough for me...

Life cereal, old fashioned oatmeal with whatever I find to put on it. I also like Rasin Bran.

i love cereal. eat for any meal or snack.

i don't know how good thesse would be for low-cal options but i love life cereal, slightly sweetend squares made from whole wheat (has a higher dietary fiber % than most); double checks, rice and corn squares not sweetened a whole lot; kellogs raisin bran, love the way the raisins are all coated in those little grains of sugar; and kellogs 100% natural, granola clusters and raisins and almonds-very crunchy and sweet.

the not-good for you at all: capt'n crunch, oh's (both give you what my family calls manlge mouth-they really rip the roof of your mouth apart but it's worth it :D )

and my dirty litlle secret--as a special treat i get myself a bowl of frosted flakes with any kind of fresh berry (cept blueberrys. yuck.) and instead of milk i pour half and half over it. omg, soooo good. it's a desert.

Mr Osuche is addicted to Cinnamon Life. He hasn't eaten any other cereal for breakfast in...like...5 years. :D

I stay away from that stuff! It's got so much fiber...

Just picking up the box makes ya have to poop! :D

I don't eat much cereal, but I enjoy raisin bran when I have it. Nobody else enjoys my having raisin bran though.

Corn Flakes and Cheerios are my favorites although I don't often eat cereals. Not sure they're the best for weight loss, but they are my favorites.

Its not cereal, but most of the time I end up eating whole wheat toast and fresh fruit (or fruit yogurt if I don't have any fresh fruit). Its very healthy, quick, and not half bad.

If you're looking to lose weight, stay away from the sugary stuff and stick to Kashi. I like the golean, but heart healthy (sort of like cheerios only sweeter) is good too, so is the autumn wheat (shredded wheat).
