Mr. Carson was the host of The Tonight Show for 30 years! I remember it well.

I had the pleasure of seeing a taping of the Carson Tonight Show in 1987 and it was a tremendous experience I still recall fondly today....(it didn't hurt that the guests were Bob Hope, Robin Williams and Tony Bennett though)

He is a true icon who will be missed. Ask Carnac - he'll tell you.....

Grew up watching Johnny Carson. Nothing funnier than watching him with animals.

RIP, Johnny.

One of my most favorite memories when I was younger (I was probably around 10) was sneaking out of bed after everyone went to sleep and turning on Carson. This particular night he had animals on. One of the animals wanted to sit on his head.... I remember pulling the rocking chair as close to the TV as I could so the volume wouldn't wake anyone up. I sat and laughed my ass off.. quietly as I could - especially when the animal peed on his head.. lmao. My dad peeked around the hall to see what the noise was he had heard...both he and I ended up watching Carson with chairs just feet away from the TV laughing.....I never got in trouble.. :D

Carnac's answer: Sis Boom Bah...

question: give the sound of a sheep exploding

This one always stood out in my memory because Johnny got tickled so badly he almost couldn't get to the punchline...

I have been seeing clips of his shows since it was announced he had died yesterday. He was truly a very funny and quick witted man. The best comedy seemed to come from when it wasn't suppose to be funny. Like the animal peeing on his head. That look on his face was priceless. He also helped so many of today's great talent get their start.

He was quite a man and will be missed. My earliest memories of late night T.V. are watching him. :)

As David Letterman said "We will not see the likes of him again.".

Thanks for pointing out the good times...even through the bad times.
