Any chance for a video forum???

Not sure where to put this...but I'm wondering if there's any chance we can have a "video's section" for members to post their oh-so-hot videos (seems to be quite a few lately!).

Can that be done?

So what does it matter then? If you are gonna post videos, it's not gonna matter where they are, they will still be able to be viewed by all...this would just make it easier to find 'em....

out of respect for the ladies here, if they care to share a video with us, it should be our efforts to find them. i think its great that they post their hot pictures for us as it is. no need to make a whole new section just for videos imo.

nope. not disrespectful, but why make them do more work for something which is totally voluntary in the first place? if they want to post a video in a middle of a picture series which coincides with the thread, should they go off and put it in another forum?

Nope, and I never said they would HAVE to do so. But for the same reasons we have a "couples" forum and a "mens" and "womens" forum...why not just have one "pictures" forum?

Not sure it would be any more work...not like I was suggesting that they email me every single time they post a new picture or video...

I think I see your point, JSG. We have sections for pics of Women, Men, Couples, and Requests... why not have a section titled Videos where they would start a thread to share any videos they had. Wouldn't be any more work than starting a new thread in any other section and people would know right off that there were videos inside. Is that what you were thinking?

I don't really think it's necessary as we don't get that many vids, even though we've had quite a few as of late. Or, maybe if vids had their own section we might see more get posted.

Not an unreasonable question in my opinion.

It's really not a bad suggestion JSG...and I can make a suggestion for further exploration on the matter, if you don't mind.

May I suggest PM'ing one of the mods (Lilith, Sharni, fzzy or dicksbro) and asking if this matter has ever been considered before and if it might be something worth delving into further. The site is already pretty full and it might lack space for such a forum...and so it might be a moot point. Or, it may have been tried way before our time and found not to fly so well. Or, it might not ever been thought of. There is also a "Sticky" thread on the General Chat forum called "Ask the Mods", and maybe you could ask there as well.

Whatever happens, I just don't think it was a bad suggestion and if I could make videos (which I can't...lol!), I'd probably participate.

Please don't be upset by previous responses. To each his own and participation would surely be optional...so no one need take offense at this suggestion!

It would be no different than putting couples pics in the pics of couples forum or putting pics of just you in pics of women. I don't see how it would be impersonal or like a paysite. It wouldn't be any different than it is now except you'd start a thread under Video Clips instead of Pics of Couples.

As to 4000 views and no comments...I highly doubt that this kind of forum would be any different than any of the other forums...where you'd have to be a member to view them and usually the viewers comment in one way or another. Sure, there'd be some bugs to work out or rules to follow...but for the most part I don't see any difference with this kind of forum and all the rest. You could have your own thread in the "Videos Forum" and others can have their own. I don't picture it as a cluster fuck of videos all over the place. I imagine pics and comments and replies could be posted as in any other forum. Hey...it's a new thought and variety is the spice of life. I don't get the negativity!!!???

Please note: In order to view the pictures forums...one has to be a registered user. Guests CANNOT view the pics posted here at Pixies...unless a member posts a pic in a forum that can be viewed by anyone...ie: General Chat, General Sex Talk, Personals...etc. The Picture forums are not available unless you are a member!

May I suggest that not all videos would have to be posted in this new forum if one didn't want to...but could be placed in any thread of the posters choosing. If they wanted to post a vid thread in the new forum...it would be there to do so. Some might participate...some may chose not to. Again...TO EACH HIS OWN.

And...may I also suggest that not all posters would have to be female (just my selfish self talking here...lol!)!!!!!!

I think there must have been a misunderstanding somewhere here but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. So let me do some clarifying...

1) We have considered an additional forum before. It would possibly be for multimedia which require everything to be zipped and opened. It would be exactly like any other forum here. Threads and responses. I think CGT thought you meant a new website as opposed to just an additional forum/sub forum here at Pixies. It's in the consideration just as we recently added the request forum.

2) If pics are to be removed it has to be done by a mod or admin. You simply send a request including the URLs.

3) We have no intentions of ever adding anything that discourages communication.

I would put it as a 'Multimedia' subforum (for members only) not just for Vids

Multimedia covers both sound files and vids etc

I think it's a brilliant idea.....

one thing though....If ppl are going to post em...then thats where they should go not mixed in the pics section.....OR

I could do a sticky thread that has a link to all Vids posted throughout the pic section

Why would there be no comments?? People comment on the pics section...the Multimedia section should be no different

I think some have got confused here.....A Multimedia section would be the same format as the Pic section...the member starts the thread and admirers can post words of encouragement onto the thread

The only difference to the Multimedia one would be that it would be unisex....as in male, females, couples or other can start a thread in there

I'll agree with having a new section for multi-media. I think that it's a great idea and that we (as in the Pixies community) could have a lot of fun with posting and replying to those threads as we do with the current pic threads. just one condition for me, at least, would be detailed instructions on how to post them. (Lizz is rather techno stupid, lol) I have a few short vids that i did with my new vibe and i wouldn't mind sharing with y'all, but i don't have a clue how i post them, lol

For posting them, all I know is they need to be compressed into a zip file and that the file size needs to be less than 150KB. WinZip is probably the most widely used zipping utility.

As far as I know you can use the evaluation version of winzip virtually forever... *shhhh* don't tell anyone, but even our corporate version that I use 3-10 times daily is evaluation version too.

As far as using winzip, it might look scary with the funny little icons but like most windows based programs is fairly user friendly.
-Click on the "New" icon
-give the file a name and save it in your desired location
-find your multimedia file
-make sure the compression is set to maximum
-then click add

and if you don't already have winzip, you can get it at www.winzip.com

Yes Lixy you can upload them to your puter then use WinZip to zip them up.

How's this for a newbie's first post. Har.

After you install winzip, zipping something up is very easy. Simply right click on the item in your windows explorer and one of the options that will be presented to you will be "add to XXX.zip" where XXX is the name of the file. Simply click on that, winzip will *automatically* open, create a zipped version of your file, save it right next to your original file (so you don't have to go looking), then close and get out of the way. Honestly, couldn't be simpler. Well, it could, I suppose.....

p.s. I think a separate category for multimedia would be a great idea.
