or someone wiser than i? and can you tell me why? why? why? they put cough suppressant and expectorant together in the same bottle? i mean, they're trying to make the phlegm easier to cough up, right, and then...what?...not allow you to cough it up? :confused:

The cough suppressant usually isn't strong enough to make you stop coughing entirely :)

The answer is quite simple, actually. They don't want you to cough up the phlegm.

LMAO! Yeah thats about the jest of it. They want it to build up so instead of a dry hacking cough you actually have something to hack up.

:D as you can see...ruminating while on vicks44 makes for some pretty stupid questions...do you think the addition of tylenol sinus and 'tussin into my flu soup may have compounded my...er...confusion lol

yes, but so many cough medicines come with both in them. *shrug*
