I heard a song on the radio and instantly I associated it with a memory from the past....dunno bout anyone else but it happens to me a bit
Sometimes it brings me a little smile, a tear or even a chuckle :D...i think thats why i love music

Wanna share your song and the memory it always invokes?

Bay City Rollers...omg I had such a crush on Alan Longmuir...<sigh> rofl

and I just realized how scary it is that I can remember his name after all these years lol

I also taught my oldest son, when he was little, to spell SATURDAY by playing that song for him. We danced around the living room singing :)

I made a cd of all of the songs my friends and I use to sing along to in high school. Everything from Stevie Wonder to Green Day to Bone Thugs in Harmony to JoDee Messina.....I just play it in the car sometime and remember skipping school with my best friend and driving all over the countryside for hours. *wistful sigh*

Oh Gawd...am I old! (<-----rhetorical...and NOT a question...TYVM!) LMAO!

Dancing at St. Pat's dances are always brought to mind when I hear anything Smokey Robinson. Line dancing to the Supremes and...well, what am I saying? Anything Motown takes me back to the line dancing days when the boys sat as wallflowers and the girls put on a show! Can you say "cattle auction"? LOL!

Paradise City always reminds me of the bar I tended in and the day I met Mr. Lixy...as he sat and watched a sexy dancer swing around a pole...lmfao!

Sharni? You might have to make this a "Sticky" cause, like scotz, almost every song I hear evokes a memory!

D'yer Mak'er by Led Zeppelin. Walking in the rain after making the first phone call to the first girl I had a crush on.

The phone call lasted three minutes, the memory twenty five years...

Whenever I hear "Find Your Way Back" by Jefferson Starship, it makes me think of their concert that I covered for KEZY in California. I was up front in a long hooded leather coat (drizzling out there) and Grace Slick and I kept exchanging gestures on how much I wanted for the coat. I had to interview them after the concert. Weird, fun time for me. :sun:

And, the Elvis Costello concert at the Irvine Amphitheatre (sp?) that I also had to cover for KEZY. The power blew and he did the WHOLE thing acoustical. Oh, the song..."My Aim Is True". I have lots of memories like that, so I won't hog the board here. Those were some fun years. 'Round the world beer party at the owner's house for the first airing of MTV....etc., etc.... :D
