Ok, you have 24 hours and an unlimited amount of cash and resources at your disposal. anything that exists in the real world can be used.
there will be no legal, physical, emotional, monetary or any other kind of reprocussions for your actions. meaning, if you kill someone, you will not go to jail and you will not feel guilty. if you race a car and crash you will walk away without a scratch. if you buy the united states a beer, you will never have to pay the money back. the only catch is that you will only own anything you buy for 24 hours.

I'd buy the Chicago Cubs and pitch against the New York Yankees.

What would YOU do with your 24 hours?

I'd buy myself a big shiny black mercedes, that huge house I've always wanted, and I'd pay for one hell of a big wedding/honeymoon.

I'd buy every hungry person in the world a meal, and some blankets and such.

For me? Maybe a hanggliding session over some cool mountain range.

good choice Cherry, but remember...anything you buy will only be yours for 24 hours :(

Oh!! I must have missed that part LOL

Well, in that case, I'd probably make the same choice as Osuche and buy every needy person a meal.

You and I would do the same thing, only I'd buy every hungry person in the world enough food to last a lifetime. I would also build enough schools and have enough teachers so that anyone who wanted to go to school could do so.

That would be my gift to mankind, doing what I could to end despair and hopelessness in the world.

Then I'd buy St. John, USVI, pitch a chair on the beach, drink some very nice Grey Goose cocktails, smoke some nice cigars, invite my friends to join me for a party, and appreciate that I had the power to make a MAJOR difference in the world...if only for a day.

*sigh*

Not only would we end so much suffering, but likely would make a dent in terrorism and many other nasty crimes. A person with a home, full tummy, and education is much more likely to work within the system. ((((rabbit)))) ~ damn I wish we could make it happen.

If I can bring some Scotch to your island, may I please join you?

I feel guilty for admitting so, but my first thought had nothing to do with the betterment of mankind.

I just want to go meet someone.

But I suppose I could feed the world while I was at it, huh? :)

Well, I'd try to zip around the country meeting some of my favorite Pixies (in a chartered jet, of course). I was going to give money away :), but if it disappears at day's end, that lose some of it's effect. :(

Hmmmmm - a day in outer space would be sorta cool, don't you think.

I long to experience weightlessness. And to look at the world from a distance would help to bring a few things into perspective.
