Well this might be expencive so use the cheep diapers. Take several ( around 10) and put different spice and kitchen items, like cloves ground up, soy sauce.....whatever.

Then number them and have everybody smell them and try to guess what's in the diaper. It's fun when you get stuff like A1 seeing everybody's face.

make safety pins with a bit of ribbon attached and give one to everybody as they arrive to wear. tell them that they will lose pin if caught with legs uncrossed then at the end of games the person with the most pins wins. the person who spots the uncrossed legs is the one who gets the pin.

sorry if i jumbled that up it's been awhile for me as well.

I love it! In fact I think you should market it! Better come to Fl for the debut at the local XMart;)

The last baby shower we attended involved giving everyone a cheap diaper all folded up to prevent the person holding it from seeing it's contents. One of the diapers has peanut butter spread inside of it. The one with the "full diaper" wins a prize.

Similar to the safety pin game, each person attending gets 3 clothespins which they must clip onto their clothes and wear throughout the shower. When someone says "baby", the first one to grab one of their clothespins gets to keep it. At the end of the shower, the one with the most clothespins wins.

And I like Aqua's game, but wouldn't it be more fun to put it somewhere else? :baa: :D

At my baby shower they filled a diaper bag full of goodies(pins, pacifiers, thermometers etc.) and you had to guess what was in there by feel. Whoever got the most guesses right won a prize and the mom-to-be got to keep the bag full of goodies. :)

OH also we had a diaper changing contest! See who can change the diaper the fastest on the baby.
Warning!!!!!!!! Do NOT use a real baby! :p

One of my favorites was taking 10 or 20 words pertaining to babies, such as "diaper", "baby powder", "pacifier"..........and scramble the letters. The one getting the most words correct wins. Another writing game is to make a list of animals and have the guests fill in the name for baby of that species. Such as kangaroo.......the baby is a 'joey'. Or you could reverse it an put the baby animal name and let them guess the adult animal. I've used both of these at some of the many baby showers I gave when all my in-laws were having babies.

Here is a cute seasonal game my wife told me about which would be great if you are hosting a Holiday Season or winter baby shower.

Snowball Christmas Shower Game

Need two large bowls and fill one with cotton balls (snowballs)
Need one large kitchen spoon
Need cloth to use as blindfold

Blindfold a guest and give them one minute to transfer as many holiday snowballs from one bowl to the other just using the kitchen spoon.

Make a note of how many of the holiday 'snowballs' they successfully transfer in exactly one minute.

Repeat for each guest and the one who transfers the most snow balls is the winner.

Since the spoon is relatively heavy and the "snowballs" are very light, it's difficult to tell whether you have anything in the spoon and so often the person will spend most of their time transferring an empty spoon. This is can be fun for everyone to watch.

Unfortunately my girlfriend had to go to the hospital last night. Those twins are getting on her blood pressure already. Postponing the party for now I think. Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions!

You know I have not heard a word...I've made calls to her cell and have sent a friend who is a nurse and a friend's husband who is a DR. to find out if everything is ok and still nada. I'm not sure why I am not hearing anything so I am afraid to be intrusive.

That is very strange. Lil if you gave the woman a baby shower, I don't think you're being intrusive. If it was me, I'd call you a very caring and concerned friend.

Lilith

I know, I'm just afraid something bad has happened and she wants privacy. I'm calling the hospital today.
