OK...so here's the name of the game:

Name THREE things that symbolize your country of residence/birth/origin. I am looking for examples of things that are "purely" nationalistic.

For instance...someone might say the following about America:
* Apple Pie
* Baseball
* The Flag

But I want YOUR interpretation. What makes you feel at home in your homeland?

* Vegemite
* Native Wildlife (eg: Roos and Koalas and such)
* Ute

LOL @ Osuche......I'll admit that my first thought about things which symbolise Great Britain were:

Underage binge drinking
Tabloid newspapers
Political Scandals

All very British, but not particularly great!

Not really nationalism... but each state really has some unique things to it that help to symbolize the collective as a nation...

Texas:
Reunion Tower
Alamo
Longhorns

Wisconsin:
Cheese(heads)
Harley-Davidson
Miller

Illinois:
Sears Tower
Navy Pier
Soldier Field

I LOVE Beale Street....last time I was there was Memorial Day...I nursed a beer and listened to bands all evening. <sigh> Why can't I live somwhere with civilized music?
