I love butterscotch schnapps in my coffee and would like to try some other good ways to warm the body and soul.
What are your favorite warm drinks?

It's not a lot of kick, but a winter and holiday favorite of mine ... hot cocoa with a candy cane to stir and a few small marshmallows to poke at.

I can see you haven’t had any of MY coffee. :yikes:
lol
I’m not sure you are looking for the same type of “warm winter drinks” down there, but hot buttered rum and the “adults” eggnog are standards for a lot of the people that play in the white stuff. Here’s a place to check out for a few formulas (http://www.drinksmixer.com/) . :wine:

I am a BIG fan of plain black tea, topped off with amaretto and cream. For extra decadence, there is always whipped cream. :slurp:
I also like coffee with Baileys -- sans any other ingredients.

I went and looked some up for you, Lilith. I only picked out the ones that I thought looked good, you said you wanted KICK; in this house we do believe in "kick" and the more the merrier. :D
I'm actually going to try these this year, I think, especially the kahlua hot chocolate. Just have something on hand for the kiddies so they don't feel left out--I know I used to feel really pissed off when the adults got special drinks and we got sodee-pop lol
Kahlua Hot Chocolate
(I think this one only makes 1 drink, so just change it accordingly)
3/4 oz. Kahlua
3/4 oz. Chocolate Liqueur
3/4 cup Hot Chocolate
Prepare the hot chocolate. Add in Kahlua and liqueur. Stir well. Garnish with Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss and marshmellow
English Christmas Punch
1 Bottle (750ml) Dark Rum
2 Bottles (750ml) Dry Red Wine
3 Cups Tea
1/2 Cup Orange Juice
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
2 Cups Sugar
Combine Wine, Tea and Juices in a saucepan. Heat well. Gradually stir in sugar and rum. Serve Warm.
Serves about 25
Hot Rumba
(Again, I think you'll have to change the recipe)
2 oz. Gold Rum
Hot Chocolate
In a footed glass mug add rum and fill with hot chocolate. (If using instant follow the directions on the box). Garnish with little marshmallows or marshmallow cream.

Heat in the microwave and what have you got?????
It is called....
And I kid you not!

I still have in my liquor supply cabinent (under the sink, with all the other toxic cleaning substances lol) a bottle of Skol vodka, given to me by a friend at work, in which he had inserted 5 chili peppers...haven't had the nerve to sample it yet, but he assured me that when it snows & I have to shovel off the driveway, I should take a slug & go stand on the drive & watch the snow & ice melt around me... :hot:
