General gender attraction

Are there qualities or other attributes that you could point to that attract you to members of the attractive sex in general?

It's mostly an attutide thing......but I admit that physically I like a tall and stocky (muscular not fat) "manly" man....someone who can wrap me up in his arms and protect me.

But there are remarkable exceptions.....Mr Osuche is 5'7" and 140 lbs. LMAO.

I meant to point out (1) a physical trait I like and (2) that there are exceptions to every rule IMHO

It's not the outside, but what's inside that counts.

For me it has really become a personality thing. But I think everybody that becomes attracted to someone has different little things that they are attracted to...something she/he says a certain way or even the way they hold their hands but I really think that sort of thing really makes a difference and you might not even realize it.

Am I right in thinking, Belial, that you want to know what it is about men (in my case) in general that makes them attractive?

If that's what you meant, then I'd have to say that what I like about men is that they are pretty straight forward and uncomplicated in their way of conducting relationships, whereas women do tend to over think and over analyse, both in their romantic entanglements and their friendships. With most guys, what you see is what you get, and the ones where that isn't the case, are usually so transparent, that you know you can't trust them and that they should be avoided!

Obviously, this is a generalisation, and I realise that there are exceptions, but but for me, it is one of the most admirable qualities men have.

As to why, I'm attracted to men, as opposed to women (with a few notable exceptions ;) ) I'm just wired that way, and I couldn't rationalise it into a reason why men are more attractive to me.

Oh I also think that men are better at both making and taking a joke than women are, and that's a highly attractive trait too. :D

I'm not really sure what makes men in general attractive to me. It definately isn't personality traits in most cases (Mr. Cherry is the biggest unappreciative jerk I've ever been with but I love him anyway. Yeah we're having probs) but rather physical ones. Shallow, I know, but I don't care, at least I'm honest. Maybe I'm just wired that way (to be attracted to men and not women) like Loulabelle said.

I think women are beautiful creatures. They're attractive, both physically and mentally. I love the thoughts women have, and how they're wired. The sparkle in their eyes, the glow of their face, the shine and bounce of their hair. Soft skin, supple curves, fragrant essence. To me, someone I love looks just as good working, gardening or sweating in the midday sun, as they do dressed to the nines and ready for a special night in or out. It's difficult to accurately put into words.


Maybe I can sum it up easier by trying to explain why I don't like men.

There's no one type that I always go for, physically. I do prefer chubby and dark. Skinny has never attracted me, nor has blonde. Superficial, I guess.

I don't care what a man looks like, it's his heart that I'm interested in. No matter how wonderful he might seem, if he gives me any reason not to trust him, I'm done and gone. Mutual trust and honesty are first and foremost for me.
