While flipping through the channels earlier, imagine my surprise when I came across a performance by Kid Rock. Now, I have never been much of a Kid Rock fan, but he has changed all that ..........

He performed a song about me and I must say I was moved to tears....of laughter that is. Maybe you have heard this song it's called..

Fat Bottom Girls!!!

Omg I love it.....

Yes, I know it was originally a Queen song..they were just geniuses in their own time...lol

You must have caught part of CMT's "Outlaw's Concert", TT. I've watched it twice already. And Kid did on helluva job on "Fat Bottom Girls" and it's my song too. :D
Kid has been turning more towards Country music lately and has become extremely close friends with Hank Williams, Jr. I also liked the fact he wore a DETROIT T-shirt during the concert. He's not ashamed of his roots. I'm not a huge fan of his, but gotta give credit where credit is due. The rest of the concert was excellent too........I especially loved Gretchen Wilson's performance

A friend gave me my first Kid Rock CD a few years ago for Christmas and I have been hooked on him ever since. I have all his CD's and if you like the remake of Fat Bottom Girls his remake Feel Like Making Love was the best song he ever did. I listen to it at least 5 or 6 times a day! :D

He has come along ways from his rapping days and getting into more Southern Rock with is so awesome. He is really my favorite musical performer.

I am very disappointed that I missed the show you are all talking about. I would love to have heard that song as its one of my favorites. :(

Studmuffin,
If you have cable and have CMT instead of GAC, keep a watch out for it. It was originally on one night last week, but was rerun last night. I'm sure it will be rerun again, at least a few more times this week, and maybe for even longer.

I saw it too and have been a fan of his for about six years........now I just refer to him as Bob. Awhile back I saw him performing with Aeorosmith......needless to say it's the best show I've ever been to. Even if you don't like his music I beg you to just go for the awesome show, however it's more enjoyable if you like the music too.

I've been a bit torn about Kid's bouncing from rap to rock to country...but I like him and his originals and remakes. He makes it all sound good. I never thought of Queen's "Fat Bottom Girls" as a country tune. I spose with the right kind of guitar and atmosphere, nearly any song could be converted. If anyone could pull it off, it would be Kid Rock! Seems Pam (Anderson) wanted a rocker...not a country singer. *shrug* Her loss!

Me too....wasn't a fan of that song he did with Sheryl Crow - so I guess I got a little turned off because I don't really care for country music. I haven't heard anything else recent from him - maybe I should check it out?

OK.. 'cause I was curious...

Went to www.kidrock.com and checked it out. There is a sample song on there "Jackson Mississippi" and it wasn't too bad! I don't know that I would rate it as a country song, but if that song is an example of what is considered as country I may be missing out by not investigating that genre!

Gonna try and find Fat Bottomed Girls now.. lol
