I thought this shoe might appeal to any dominatrix with an added shoe fetish! It is the true "Spike Heel" studded with nails!

"There is even the "Voudou Shou", decorated to appeal to Mistress Erzulie- Freda, the "draw love to me" deity of voodoo in New Orleans. The Voudou Shou looks decidely girly, but the artist said it will work equally well for men or women. She'll include instructions on what offerings to give the shoe to curry favor with the love deity."

There's a great project going on in Madison, WI that's auctioning off *very* unique high heels in support of the Center for Patient Partnerships. The center offers free help for people with life-threatening or chronic medical problems, helping them to make informed medical decisions, deal with insurance problems and cope with any other issues that arise after a diagnosis.

How do you feel about these unique creations and other creative ways about fundraising for a good cause?

I love it! And I love to see art being used to further humanity be it through it's creation, donation, or observation.

BlondeCurlGirl,

Human ingenuity is boundless! More power to them, for this - unusual - fundraiser, and for any other legal ways to raise money. There's never enough for all the needs, and if this works - Go For It!

Great idea for a fundraiser. Anything that will appeal to someone enough to get them to an auction who's proceeds go to a worthy cause is fine with me. Sometimes people just need an excuse to donate money. I think it's great.

Plus, those shoes brought back great memories...I used to wear them when I climbed telephone poles. :D
