mmmmmmmmmm I am with iprimus and I am going from 256kbs to 512 kbs shortly for a drop of $15 and because I have my phone and mobile with them too, I get free local calls (usually 20c per call).
My calls to the USA are capped at $3.50 per half hour.
Love this telco competition :)

Curious hun....whats it cost you a month to connect with iprimus?

Previously I was getting 256kbs and 1Gb download for $64.95 month
Now it is $49.95 for 512kbs and 2Gb download a month.
I do have an adsl moden that will go to 1200kbs. I believe there is a fee to reset the tranfer speed of $45. This is because Telstra have to twiddle their keyboards to make it happen and iprumus have to pay them to do it.

Not bad price hun
We pay $79/month Unlimited download (just as well we can hit upto 5Gb) we get a discount of $10 too...so really its $69/month

What is security like? I am on dial-up at $20 a month. Getting sick of hacker scans on it.

Security? You mean on my puter?
I use Norton Security even when on dial up and since have had very few attacks...

I was thinking in terms of the ISP. If their security is weak they can get into them and then the users.

When my antique system slows down, I shake out the ashes from the modem.
There's got to be some better way than smoke signals.
