First, no offense to the resident gecko!
Second, I know they are friendly critters and they chase/eat other bugs.
But that being said, I don't like them and I don't want them in my house. As far as I know they don't have anything to feast on inside of my house but they still find a way into the moderately cool and dryness of my house as an escape from the heat and humidity outside.
My dear cat was supposed to help this problem, or so my local bug guy told me last year when I whined to him about this problem. He suggested my cat would like to play with and catch the little lizards.
Unfortunately this hasn't proven to be the case. He missed the four inch long critter tonight in my dining room. Of course when I saw it, there was much jumping and yelling. This likely scared my poor cat which is why he sat on the stairs and just looked at me as I chased the gecko.
So, does anyone have some wonderful home remedy of how to keep them outside of my house. They can live in the garage and anywhere in the yard they like, I just don't want them inside.
