Do you have any rules while you shop???? Avoid eye contact? Browse in silence or comment on what you see? Do you pretend to be the only one there while carefully eyeing fellow shoppers????? Just thought it could be interesting to know how you shop....

I had an issue the other day, though. There was this guy there, looking at the magazines...but only two out of every three seconds. The other second was spent glancing at me. Gave me the creeps.

The scariest thing that ever happened to me was when, after spending ten or fifteen minutes in the store, I walked out to find a note under my windshield wiper. On it was some guy's phone number (and I'm *assuming* some guy and not a girl, but you never know) and the plead for a phone call. :eek:

That is sort of why I thought of this! The clerk at the store we were at was making some negative comments about particular DVD's and I just thought to myself, "now that poor guy that was eyeing them will never have the guts to purchase that here!" So I actually commented to the clerk..."well you know, different strokes....its what makes the world go 'round, and keeps you in business!"

I don't go that often,,,when I did I felt all nervous or something, maybe because I kept giggling. I mostly order from Adam and Eve, then I can look at the mag and get my kicks and order away and not feel like people are watching me at the store.

I haven't been to many, but I pretty much know what I'm looking for so I don't really have to interact much. I'm polite though. It's a little embarassing when they put batteries in the toys to make sure they work, but at least they don't hand them to you with the damn things still buzzing. :rolleyes:

I have gone to the bigger ones with others, my husband or a friend, but we have a really nice new one here in town that I've gone to alone.

When with others, we're usually a noisy lot. Alone, I just brows quietly. I tend to avoid picking things up when I'm alone though.

huntersgirl, you were lucky on what you found under your windshield. There's a town (I want to say in Texas, but I can't recall for certain) where a church group sits across the street from local porn shops, takes pictures of the people entering and exiting, as well as their liscence plate number. Then, they find out where the person lives, and sends them a custom made postcard featuring a picture of them entering or exiting the porn shop, with the sign in full view.

Another group similiar takes a polaroid, and puts it under the windshield wiper.

I shop in one in El Cajon and shop at a leisurely pace and always ask the saleslady for advice. She always asks me what kind of sex I like and makes recommendations. Very friendly and sometimes flirtatious experience.

I never got kicked out for laughing and giggling and elbowing hubby in the ribs to "look what I found...can you imagine the possibilities?"....

My wife had a bad experience when buying a dildo. She wanted to open the package because some are made with hard plastic or sticky rubber that stay sticky no matter how much you lube it. She has brought one or two home in the past that just woudn't work for her. Not that she wanted to test drive it or anything just check the material. She got yelled at and we havn't been back to that store. Maybe they should have samples displayed or a hole in the package to check the material it's made of.
