So, My neighbor, as i mentioned in my virtual tour post. the greatest guy in the world. Has thus invited me on HIS family's beach trip. its around the middle of june. For an entire week in Myrtle. Now usually its his whole family that goes. So at first I was kinda shocked that he asked me to come. But What do you all think? He's got a nephew that's the same age as me. And we get along great. So I definatly want to go. But im not sure if i should. i mean its a family thing. Would it be right to come? Would I feel right being around all his family? I dunno. Tell me what yall think

I don't think he would have invited you if he didn't want you there. Sounds like fun.

Sounds like as far as he's concerned you are family ... and that you feel much the same about him .... go as if it were your own family .... some of them you enjoy more than others!!!! :) Have a wonderful time, sounds like it should be a blast.

GO!! Have a great time!

My only suggestions would be that you pitch in and help out any way you can....... from loading things in the car, keeping the place your staying at picked up, not acting like royalty and expecting to be waited on but rather offer to get everyone a cold drink if your headed to the kitchen, clean up after yourself in the bathroom, etc. I think you get the idea.

I'd also ask him before you leave exactly how much money you'll need. I am assuming by inviting you he'll pay all your lodging and food. But what about sight-seeing, amusement parks, etc. Those things can run pretty high. Ask if you can pay your way to get in.

He's already told me that me and his nephew will be having to sleep either on couchs or in the big van. they are renting a rather large beach house.. but with all the fellows going its still going tobe packed up. And About paying my own way I've already got that taken care of.. Yall think 200-300$ is enough for one week?

Well. I need to snag some swim trunks... or else i'll be goin commado in jean shorts... And that just ain't right...

Uhm.. just the usual beach stuff.. prolly a nice huge beach towel. And then mainly the rest of the money will be fore recreation.. and food.

How much spending money to take on a trip is always hard to figure since you don't know exactly what you'll be doing.

It seems most amusement parks I've been to recently charge $25.00 and up for adults. If you go someplace where you pay for each ride/attraction seperatly, they can be $2.00 & up for each one. Doesn't take long to spend alot. Keep in mind that food will be expensive in these places too. We paid $2.50 for a small bottled water at a fair last year!

If you figure $50.00 (apx.) per day and watch your spending you should be alright. You'll probably have some days at the beach where you'll spend very little. And sightseeing days where the money will fly outta your hand. Just keep an eye on your total spending and budget it accordingly so you don't blow it all in the first few days and can't do anything the end of the week. And set aside maybe $20.00 for the ride home. (food!)

Buy your swimtrunks and anything else you need before you leave home. If you buy it down there, you may pay twice as much. My sister-in-law paid double for a roll of film at some attraction, compared to what I paid for mine at home.

actually i don't mind paying twice the price for swim trunks and a towel. they always have the comfy swim trunks and the swwweeet looking towls in those shops.. so i'm just like whateva.
