Went and saw that tonight to get some 'away' time. :) I've ben wanting to see it since it came out, and so when I looked up times, and saw it started in 10 minutes, I went. :D

I really liked it. I know not everyone thought it was that good, or that it didn't live up to expectations, but I really thought it was good.

I was surprised at how much they showed pre kidnapping, but in retrospeck, it was needed, to establish their relationship. Because of how Denzel's character "John Creasy" was before hand, it wouldn't have looked right if they had thrown them together, and then had her taken 15 minutes later.

I was really impressed with his acting, but then, I think he's a great actor. I'm also a fan of Dakota Fannings. For someone so young, she's remarkably capable at handling rather serious and grown up situations for her movies. Not a lot of child actors would be able to do so, which is why there are so few children that are tossed into starring roles in dramatic movies. Comedy, sure, but not drama.

I really enjoyed it, though.

I absolutely love the movie and cant wait till it comes out on DVD. The entire story line just grabs you in and makes you feel for each and every one of the characters in different ways. It also made me wonder what would I do if my husband had done the same thing. (Don't really want to give the movie away for those who might have not seen it.) But it really makes you think.

I think slow castration with a carrot peeler would be sufficiant. :D

I loved the movie, too. It might not have been the "feel good" movie of the year, but it got more emotion from me than anything I've seen in a long time. I don't often cry at movies, but I cried 3 times during this one. I want to see it again too... I'd even pay full price to do so!

I know, the end wasn't what I wanted, but it seemed to fit.

I saw this last week and really enjoyed it :) I usually don't enjoy movies where the camera work is so...jumpy. But in this case, it really fit the feel of the movie. Dakota is just the cutest little thing, and she's going to wind up an amazing actress as she grows up!
