Why does it feel that when you are looking for something, you don't find it. But when you aren't expecting it, you find it. But when you do find what you are looking for, you are forced to lose it because life throws you some piece of shit. Life fucking sucks sometimes. :(

Yes it does. And how you handle yourself during those times will be the true measure of what kind of woman you are.

There have been many times in my life when I've said "Why does this have to happen NOW?" Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. Every big and little thing that has happened to me has made me what I am today. Going back to change one of those things could have made big changes in my life.

I hope you get it all worked out. :)

Now that you understand reality, it should make dealing with it easier for you.

Sometimes you get a bouquet of roses tossed to you, too. But yeah, it does suck sometimes.

Life has its ups and downs. Just don't let it get you down. Be good to yourself and try to enjoy the good times.

What goes up,must come down & vice-versa.Just roll with the punches & stay true to yourself, that's all that you can do!I hate to
sound religous, but they say that God won't give you anything, that
you can't handle!Good Luck & stay strong! Irish

((((((((((Raven)))))))))))) Hon we all have our times when things just bite. Talking with good friends or a close family member can help. Getting away from people sometimes helps me too, I'll go for a drive or walk for some quiet time. Just know that for every turd there's a rose. In order to appreciate good things, we have to endure those turds. Personally what usually brings me around too is the reality that I don't have to look too far to see others less fortunate than I am. Best to Ya sweet princess, it'll get better.

For a long time I had the motto in my life of "This too shall pass" ... I still pull it out and remind myself sometimes .... the good, the bad, the exciting and the boring... all of it passes and moves to something new .... My current motto in my life is "Life's an adventure." I like this one even more because no matter what is happening, good, bad, exciting or boring .... if I think of it as an adventure, it changes my perspective to trying to find the fun in the moment, even the horrible ones. Just a thought I'm sharing ......

I don't know what happened, Raven... but you're a beautiful and strong person and you can get through it.

Yes, many of our most heartfelt efforts can be thwarted by forces beyond our control. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time.

If the feeling of discouragement persists, and if the pain of your loss begins to color everything that you try to do, then maybe the depression has taken on a life of its own. Then, I would strongly urge you to seek therapy and possible medication. I'm sure there's a student health center right on campus that could either screen you for depression or could refer you to a clinic for a meeting with a counselor.

For me, depression is just one of the ways that my body can respond to high levels of stress or the grief following a loss. I have had several times in my adult life when counseling and medication have brought me back to myself and freed me to experience life on its own terms rather than through the fog of hoplelessness.

Best of luck, and remember that you have many friends here.

Every single move you make in your life is for some purpose...for a reason. I have made some mistakes, bad ones, that could have ruined everything I have worked so hard at, but now that I have forgiven myself, I know that there was a reason. Maybe to make me stronger, etc.

Everyone has shitty days, but it is entirely up to you and your heart to make things better.

Best wishes.
