...tell me your life story tatooed to my forehead?

Tonight we stopped at the grocery store for a few things. We were at the checkout and the manager was playing bagboy...found out that he streaked through a big chain grocery store in college, is color blind, and has a birthmark on his upper thigh!!! Cobalt doesn't know what it is about me, but people will tell me the damndest things!

..........at the clothing store, this lady told me alll about her surgery and the fact that she has to wear adult diapers.

......... at another place, I found out that this lady's husband left her for another woman.

..........and yet another place (after just saying hi) I found out about this woman's daughter's pregnancy, her husband being disabled, and how much her prescription just cost her!!!

These aren't isolated, it happens all the time! I wonder if I send off certain vibes. Maybe I am going into the wrong business!

Anyone care to lay on my couch??? ;)

People must feel comfortable confiding in you...have you considered a career in espionage?

wow. you must look like the perfect therapist, if people feel that at ease around you it must be both a blessing and a curse.

and do you have anything open on that couch on monday's at 1? j/k

LOL Chey .... I have a really close friend who is just like you, but at the same time it never really seems to phase her ... one of the most absolutely social people I've ever met (in the same type of sense as you are describing) .... the funny thing is, her husband, though a wonderful guy, a gentlemen truly and would give the shirt right off of his back to help someone, is also a man who tires easily of people being around him all the time, there are only 1 or 2 people that he doesn't place limits on how long they can be around him before he leaves or asks in no uncertain terms for them to leave .....

OMgad, Chey you're right, you just must have that type of persona LOL!!!!!

<---has, "Let me give you directions" on her forehead.

In a 20-minute time span a few months ago, in a town that wasn't my own, I had two different people ask me how to get somewhere. Fortunately, I knew the town I was in well enough to get them there, but kleclere had the grandest time giggling at me.

I've also found out that, if I start a telephone conversation with, "Hi, I'm so-and-so from such-and-such law firm," they'll tell me practically anything I need or want to know. Scary stuff. :D

Lets see...........let me give you directions or tell me your life story... I dunno - that's a toss-up. LOL!!!

I guess I must CGT.....and normally I don't mind when people tell me stuff. Some of it is very interesting, yes - and sometimes I realize that maybe people just need to get things off their chest and I must be a convenient stranger, but at other times LOL!

So, tell me more peeps! ;)

It happens to me all the time! Only in person though, my s/o on the other hand gets into these long conversation w/ people over the phone. He must sound like someone you can just talk to and I must look like one!:)

My mother had it...and so do I Chey! I made a pretty good bar tender for that reason! I dunno what it is. All I do is make eye contact and say hi...and off we go with a major conversation as to arthritis or blood letting or whatever they haven't spoke of in ages, to anyone closely related! I imagine those they are close to know all the stories and they just have a need to tell them again and again without being reminded that it was heard already.

And...did you notice that, for the most part, it's always a conversation about an ailment or personal hurt? Misery loves company...or so they say...eh?

*swipes forehead to get that sign off*

We are kindred spirits!

After my kids got older they both told me that in all the years past that they had thought that everyone knew me when we went out....my forehead just says "talk to me" I guess.

I think it's great that people talk to me as often as they do. I like people in general and I don't mind having a few "good" marks on my tally sheet for being kind and friendly. I've got enough marks on my "bad" sheet, that's for sure.

Sometimes you just need someone to talk/vent to, who won't judge and who has no pre-conceived ideas about you... If I can do that for someone else, I'm happy to do it...

People tell me to 'cheer up' quite often.....even when I'm perfectly happy. Seems my relaxed face, looks like every body else's suicidal face.

I think perhaps I must have 'fuck off and die' tattooed on mine!
