So, what ones have you seen recently, or want to see?
We went and saw Dawn of the Dead this week. I'm a sucker for horror flicks, and liked this one, though I can see clearly where people not into horror would think it classless trash without a plot. ;)
I also went to see Starsky & Hutch with a friend Saturday night. I liked that one a lot, though I was skeptical. I have mixed feeligns on Ben Stiller- in some roles, I absolutely love him, and in others, I can't stand him. There really isn't any middle ground for him with me, and from the previews, I was scared that it would be a hate relationship for me with it. I was very pleasently surprised, though. :)
I want to see Jersey Girl, but unfortunatly, it didn't come to this town. :( I want to see The Prince & I too, now that it's out.

I saw that one a few weeks ago as well, and really liked it. I've been a Stephan King fan since I was about 13, and have never been disapointed by his works.
I do recall thinking about halfway through the movie, that while it was good and suspensful, I really didn't see a good "SK" stamp on it yet. I saw it in bright blood red letters at the end, however, and enjoyed it thouroughly.
I also had companionable neighbors in the theater. Because we never get sitters who agree to taking 3 kids, I tend to go alone a lot, and since the theater was packed, I was stuck sitting next to people (I have a personal space phobia and avoid this at all costs). They offered to share their popcorn, though, and were funny, so it was all good :)

I bow and worship the master of horror :) I could re-read his books hundreds fo times, and find something new each time, I think. IT is my favorite. My copy is the same one I've had since I was about 15, and it's starting to fall apart.

It is still the only book that has ever scared me to the point I had to put it down for awhile.

The Butterfly Effect piqued my interest and then Lilith put up a thread on it (a while back) and so I did get to see that. I'd heard some not-so-good reviews about it, but if a movie trailer interests me and I can get out to see it, I try not to put heavy stock in what the critics say.
I did like the film and I thought Ashton Kutcher was great in it. He hasn't been getting good press since his link with Demi Moore and his movie attempts before this one, but all in all it was a good movie.
Secret Window looks good to me too. I prefer his books, but some of King's movies have been made well enough to stand up to his reputation.
I'm also dying to see HellBoy. I fell for Beast in the series Beauty and the Beast, and it looks as if Ron Pearlman has found another "mask" to woo me with!
wOOt! Let's here it for SK fans! :D
I'd like to see Hellboy too, and The Punisher. Another movie I am surprised that I want to see is Walking Tall. I saw The Scorpion King and was not impressed with The Rock at all, but the previews for this one looked like a good, kick ass, take my town back, fight for what's right kind of movie.
Oh, and I saw Underworld recently. Too predictable. Too much like other movies. Yes, most movies are like another in some way but in my opinion this one was almost entirely made up from other films. Didn't care for it.

Oh, I saw Hidalgo recently and enjoyed it. While not a great movie, I thought it was really good.
I really want to see Troy as well, Sharni.

Hidalgo looks good to me, too. I had also wanted to see Butterfly Effect, and hadn't gotten the chance to before it was done being shown here. :(
Troy looks awesome, as does Alexander (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1808402866&cf=info&intl=us), which has a great cast.
