Question about pm's...

What's the limit of number of pm's a person can have total? Someone told me 100, someone else told me 500. Now 500 seems like a shitload to me, so maybe it's 100. But I don't want to be talking to someone and have them try to send it to me and have my box filled.

So inquiring minds want to know...thanks. :)

not sure what the limit is..but if ya clean out your box every once in a while you won't have that problem..lol

The max number of sent and recieved, (including storage folders) WAS always 100 unless it's changed.

It's more than 100 now, as I know I've had more than that in my inbox alone.

I'm not sure how many it is either though, but you'll get an e-mailed message to tell you if someone tries to PM you and your box is full.

You only get the emailed message if you are set up to get the emailed message Lou. Um....I think, anyway! I never get an email about it, but get yelled at from folks in the chat box or in chat room, if they can't send a PM cause my box is full....lol!

Oh...and that's 100 in your "inbox" folder. Cause I have more than that in all my folders. You can make up folders to save PM's to, and I don't think they count towards your limit in the inbox.

But, Lil should be here soon and will clear all this up! :D

LOL...clear as mud.....since we were saved by the new owner last July I have monkeyed with stuff......a lot. I tried to up as many limits as I could and still keep the forums running at a timely rate. So far so good. I think I currently have it set that you can have as many as 250 PMs in all your folders at one time. My box works differently so I am not 100% sure.

I think Lil's right cuz mine usually stays over 200 and I DO clean mine out! :rolleyes: It's not long after that when I start getting the message to go clean it out again.

I just delete pms after I've read 'em or sent 'em makes life a lot easier :D

I started months ago saving my "special" PMs, then periodically copying them over into a Word document and then deleting them from here.

hell i dont htink i cud ever get that many!!! i only get pms from like 1 or 2 ppl on a regular basis .

I've always kept mine down near 30. Little over or a little under. Anything special, I copy off onto my hard drive and delete the PM. I assumed there was a limit, but never really new for sure. Glad the question was asked. :)
