There is no fucking way that a pint of icecream is 4 servings...How tiny are their damn spoons?

:D:slurp::D

Lilith,

Those are servings for leprachauns. It's the only possible answer :)

How many servings is it and what kind?

Cheyanne
03-13-2004, 08:14 PM
It is only four servings if you plan on sharing the icecream by dishing it out into bowls. If you plan on eating directly out of the carton, thus saving energy (water, electricity, gas - whatever you may have) and not polluting the environment (dishsoap down the drain) it is considered only one serving. :D

So if I eat the entire bag of M&Ms I get to count it as one too?

What about if I take the Cabana Boy on all by myself?

ROFLMAO... Lilith.. have you ever seen those little pink spoons that Baskin Robins uses for sampling? LOL... those would be the ones. ;)

Lilith
03-13-2004, 08:28 PM
Those edible ones, that make all the samples crunchy?

jennaflower
03-13-2004, 08:31 PM

Like HELL! Not for this leprechaun.

There SHOULD be more ice cream than berries in the bowl.:p
..... and everybody knows you can't really judge the taste of berries with less than a pint.;)

are you sure they didn't mean a "PECK" Lilith? you know how confusing our system is.:D

no, and when it's ben and jerry's carmel sutra with a solid carmel core .......... trying not to act like homer simpson.............it's got to be only one!!!! , why else would it be so small, maybe it's for a barbie spoon? playschool kitchen spoon?

I do believe that if one is considering multi-tasking such as the example that you provided with the M&Ms and the Cabana Boy ;), then that would also be considered one serving. However, the portions must be compatable For example - 20 M&Ms and 1 hour of taking on Cabana Boy - so if the bag contains 100 M&Ms, then the Cabana Boy would equal 5 hours - thus one serving! :D

What they really mean, is that if you buy 4 of them, it's one serving. -nodnod-

I think the solution is to get a gallon and relabel it a pint. :)

jennaflower
03-13-2004, 09:01 PM
you know... there is a way to make yourself feel sooooo much better about that pint...

Buy a gallon and a pint.... put them both in the freezer... when you have that urge... grab the pint and eat the whole damn thing... rationalize it as follows:

"Atleast I didn't eat the gallon"

whatever works :)

Drink the "pint" ... (Wild Turkey preferred)
Then you can count ANYWAY you want.;)

Ya know, you can *justify* the four servings in the pint if you *REALLY* work the Cabana boy over for 5 hours. It won't have time to go to your hips. :D

I think you're forgetting one important thing here. EVERYONE knows that if you eat your ice cream (or cookies or whatever) standing over the sink, the calories don't count. Must I tell you everything???

LMAO :p

(psssssst.... isn't my new avatar great? Lilith did it for me!) ((Lilith))

I think that Osuche, Cheyanne, and PF all have wonderful ideas Lilith! I'm trying to decide which one to follow next time I reach for that bit of Ben and Jerry's bliss! Might have trouble finding a cabana boy this far north though... anybody know a good cabana boy who likes to travel??

Flute Lady~ I think your new avatar is great! And I really like Lilith's new one too!

I used to work for Ben and Jerry's at one time, and I totally agree with you Lilith...4 servings my ass!! I asked my supervisor once how they came up with what a serving portion was and guess what? he couldn't tell me cause he didn't even know!! My viewpoint is this, if you dont have anyone looking over your shoulder eat all that you want and call it a serving...I wont tell!! ;) Btw..I wish someone would make me a new avatar :( Guess i'm going to have to find the right person to rub up against...LOL

Well see I think they do a survey and see how many calories, fat grams etc.. that people think is an okay amount for ice cream, then they say hmmm....so if we figure out how many calories/fat grams/sugars are actually in here we can just divide till we get that other number...hehe I keep waiting for a really rich ice cream to say 20 Servings on it :lust:

btw lovely avs flutelady and lilith :)

Aqua
04-06-2004, 05:12 PM
A can of pop (12 oz) is 1 serving, while the 20 bottle, like WI said is 2.5 servings with 1 serving equal to 8 oz. WTF?!

Breaking cooking before you eat them also renders all calories null! :)
