*The title of this thread comes from a line in The Addams Family movie*

My daughter is in the girl scouts so guess what I have at my house this week? 173 boxes of girl scout cookies!!!! Talk about temptation!

So I was wondering what is you favorite kind of GS cookie?
I am addicted to the peanut butter patties.

I loved um when they were called Savannahs (showing my age here).....but the peanut butter is too dry for my taste now. They used to be creamier and they used to be my faves.

Thin mints are my choice now.....though those lemon ones are a close second!

WHO HAS COOKIES????
Samoas for sure numeroUno,
peanut butter next or what ever is available...and a glass of whole milk ICE COLD or a nice cup of coffee....not too hot not too cold but just right to flush the crumbs that fly from the buzzsaw like motion of my jaws as they pulverize those tasty little confectionaries.

When Girl Scouts first started selling cookies, they were actually baked by the girls. But as sales grew & life styles changed, cookie companies were hired. There are a lot of different companies used. And even though they follow a recipe from GSUSA, there are differences. Which could explain why the peanut butter ones taste different to you now Lixy. Our council recently switched from 'ABC Bakers' to 'Little Brownie Bakers'. There is a very noticable difference in the Thin Mints, Peanut Butter and S'moa's. The rest are pretty close to the same taste & texture.

One of the girls in my troop sold 365 boxes!! And she probably won't be the top seller in our community. Last years top sales was 489.

My favorite is one they discontinued, Strawberries 'n cream.
Next fav's are a tie between Thin Mints & Peanut Butter.

OK I bought my first bundle today. A box for each of my guys and told them to devour them as they see fit. I think the 12 year old is done with his already:slurp:

ok, I've been getting seriously jipped in the GS cookie department. All we get here are the vanilla and chocolate boring cookies with the vanilla and chocolate cream in the middle.

I'm gonna go pout now, and dream about mint and peanut butter.
