My god, I've been away from Pixies for too long, and here I said I was going to start posting instead of lurking.

Anyways, Raven's recent post has brought me to an interesting thought: At what point to sex go from being a healthy, normal passion to being an unhealthy obsession?

The reason I'm asking is somewhat directly related to why I have not been around. Quite simply, I've come to realise that perhaps I've become enveloped with an unrelenting desire for passion and intimacy, one that thus far has not been satisfiable, regardless of how my life has been going.

When it becomes rape dear. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with a healthy sexual appetite. Just be thankful you have one!

It becomes a problem when it interferes with your ability to live a normal life.

You are right...but the desire for intamacy is bred into us...I sometimes have a desire to be with someone..close, sharing our most treasured thoughts..cuddling...feeling each other, but does not have to culminate in sex all the time..

Well, it hasn't started to interfere with work, which is about the only stable aspect of my life, so I guess I'm good to go. :)

Goodness, what a strange thought!!!
"...when it interferes with your ability to live a normal life"
Do I live a normal life?
I am bisexual, considered sensusous, voluptous, (look up the real meaning, it DOES NOT mean"big boobs"), promiscuous, adventurous, and other sexual "ouses" that I won't go into here.
I have sex frequently, with a variety of partners, male and female, many are one -time one -night encounters. I am happy, more or less well-adjusted (allowing for some issues about my height, or lack of, and my parents death, but I digress again) . I do fear my employers finding out that one of their nurse mangers leads an "alternative lifestyle".
I wake up, travel to work, go home, go out, and have a lot of fun, I guess that is a "normal life" but without sex I would be SOOOOO bored.

Wicked Wanda,

Normalcy is relative. This site is the proof of that.

Gowgirltease is right. When it becomes Rape.I might add when something so clean and healthy as sex is viewed through the eyes of mysogany, negative phobias and fear and loathing of the human body.If you can answer NO to all of the above, you got nothing to worry about.
