What exactly would they do with the pictures? I don't get the point of it. It seems like quite an expensive project just to get the demographics of who buys what, don't ya think? I mean, if you told me that the cameras were programmed to snap pics when they see women shaving their hoo hoos, well, at least that's a logical explanation!

I agree man.Love to see women shaving their hoo hoos.... From what I gather,a picture is taken from a hidden camera when you pick the item off the shelf and put it in your shopping cart, and another picture is taken at the counter when you are buying{not walking out with}the product. This seems like a huge waste of time and money to me.Unless of course you might get a picture of Winona Rider shaving her hoo hoo.

Did I miss where there is proof that photos are actually being taken????

Ever seen the big bubbles in Walmart...they run video surveillance of you shopping already.

Hmmm, so Walmart would end up with all of your grass? That hardly seems fair!

Does anyone beside me get a kick out of WI calling a pussy a hoo hoo?

ROFLMFAO!

BTW......I always just assume (in this day and age) that I'm being filmed everywhere I go! That way my mom won't be rolling over in her grave (she's in the ocean) when a video shows up on AFV.....of me picking my nose at the ATM....or some shit like that! In other words......I behave....(believe it or not)!

And for those who are wondering........that means you won't see me shaving my hoo hoo......cept here at Pixies!

LixyChick,

All by itself, that justifies showing up regularly.

Damn - the only reason I try things on in shop dressing rooms, is in the hopes that there's a camera on me! Hehehehe

In keeping with the anti-Walmart theme, I don't know if I've sent this link to Lil already:

http://walmartsucks.org/

It's a Web site by a Newfoundlander that's managed to survive as Walmart likes to buy up a lot of domain names like walmartsucks.com, walmartgermanysucks.com, etc. :)

TY Steph...I got a giggle out of that. Most of the sites I have been dealing with have been specific to stopping them from building. It was nice to see that they suck in other people's minds for a variety of reasons:D

LOL

Yep, no zoning regs here. Just complaints about their general suckiness.

After hearing what you're going through and after the illegal immigrant cleaners and the insurance brouhaha . . . I won't walk into a Walmart again. The only thing I would buy there lately was dog food because it was slightly cheaper than anywhere else but I've been supporting the Mom & Pop ops in my 'hood.

The fallacy of the desire to be successful in America is well represented in this thread.

It is hard to actively say... I could spend less on my grocery shopping bill by shopping at Walmart but morally and ethically I can't support them. You have to spend more $$ no doubt but we are all paying for the difference in the way of having to support people who are not being given full time hours and benefits so they need indigent health care etc. I have seen information on their purchasing process as well. Is it possible to suppress the economy by blackmailing the multitude of companies you purchase from? Sell to us for ____ or your product will not be in the 894492385297539273987538975947 stores that are taking over retail.

The temptation crept up on me last night....it would have been so easy to just swing by there and get everything I need in one trip, but I got this damn conscious:rolleyes: Good thing I never had a head for business;)

Lilith, we're facing the addition of a new Super WalMart in our little town and most people I know absolutely detest the idea. With three others within 10 miles, this one is firmly believed to be nothing more than an attempt to drive local business under.

Everything I hear about WalMart anymore is negative and disgusting.

I USED TO like to shop there ... but my attitude has changed. Now, I pay a bit more (not much really) ... but make a point to shop elsewhere.

:(

2 grocery stores closed this week after the last SuperWalmart was built within a few miles. They were part of a Florida chain. I have 2 of the same chains just North of my house. They last 6 months once the other Walmart went up. I wonder how long til the abondonment of retail space begins near my house.

Two local stores have also closed ... saying they wanted out before property values fell.
