NASA has not heard from the rover in over 24hrs, I wonder if Marvin the Martian is taking it for a ride.
I bet it was that wascally wabbit....

I heard that they got beeps and radio fuzz and knew their messages were getting to it but could not get anything substancial back from it now.

Just heard that it is a software problem. They are trying to reboot the rover, but it may take up to 2 weeks to get the software updated.

Gentlefolk,
The Mars rover Opportunity has rolled off its lander on to the surface of the planet, a week after arrival. The operation went as planned with the rover travelling a distance of three meters.
The science can now start for Opportunity.

Is it running a Windows OS? In which case there will be a patch out in about 3 months if enough people complain
