How does one remove blue candle wax from the carpet?

Any suggestions?

Put ice on it and get the wax VERY cold. Then you should just be able to peel it off.

Good luck!

after you pick off what you can...like Osuche says you should get brown paper bags and a warm iron...iron the bags over the wax and they will absorb it as it melts. Keep at it til it's all absorbed.

I've done the ironing over the bag - it totally works.

Was it the blue liquid ones you sent me the link to? You could contact the company since that wax seems to have some different properties than regular wax.

Just a little word of advice here with the iron! We once tried the same thing as we got olive oil on the carpet and ironed it but just be very carefull it isnt on the high setting as ours was. Which resulted in an instant iron burn on the fucking thing!

the iron over kithen roll or absorbant paper really works, it is what amature artists use to remove wax from batik work (wax on fabric)

But if you're using it over paper towel, make sure it's not really cheap because it can hardly absorb the wax.

Geez, how much wax have I spilled through the years? :)

It came out.
I got the wax out with a paper bag and an iron and I got the dye that was left using Oxy 10.

Thanks everyone.

I was worried that I might have to go find some blue carpet paint.
