State Sex Offender Registry Websites (http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cid/cac/states.htm)
My county had 30 PAGES of registered sex offenders or worst yet predators.
The above website also has info on other crimes against children including a link to report online crimes against children at the bottom of this (http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cid/cac/innocent.htm) page.
Just thought those of you living in the US might want to be aware of those people in your community who may be a danger to you or your families.

my state doesn't offer the information on a state wide basis on the internet... BUT... the information is easily accessible by contacting the county sheriff...
Actually... the county in which I work does offer a web page that displays offenders.. and location...

it is pretty scary when you think about it... and this topic is a pretty hot one... debates from both sides... the right to protect oneself (and the ones you love)... against the right to move on with your life after you have served the punishment that the law required...

Funny thing, there are 64 in my community, and 30 of them live at the same address, always wondered what type of half-way house that was..now I know.

There are 32 in my county and one is a female.
P.S. 1 is a young man whose girlfriend was underage and got Pregnant. There was only 2 years age difference between them at the time.

My state doesn't list them easily. I did see that there are 273 pages of offenders, with 14 names on each page for the entire state!

My state won't list them without an email request......in accordance with Megan's Law........
What is Megan's Law?
On October 24, 1995, Governor Tom Ridge signed into law Act 24 of 1995 (Special Session 1) creating the Pennsylvania Registration of Sexual Offenders Act (Megan's Law). Megan's Law was one of a series of laws enacted during the 1995 Special Session on Crime. Megan's Law was amended on May 22, 1996 by Act 46 of 1996, on May 10, 2000 by Act 18 of 2000, on December 20, 2000 by Act 113 of 2000, and most recently on October 17, 2002 by Act 127 of 2002. The purpose of Megan's Law is to protect the safety and general welfare of the general public by providing for registration of "sexual offenders" and for registration and community notification of "sexually violent predators" scheduled to be released into the community.
Megan's Law Update -
On September 25, 2003 the Pennsylvania Supreme Court interpreted this provision of Megan's Law to require that a specific request be made before this information can be provided via electronic means. To make a specific request for information on Sexually Violent Predators in Pennsylvania please click below.
But......lemme tell ya.........this is a BIG state! I can only imagine the numbers are astronomical!
