NASA has had a mission going for slightly over three years now to collect samples from a comet and return them to earth.

Project Stardust has successfully rondezvoused with comet Wild-2, and collected its samples.

Now, if the return trip goes as smoothly, then we'll be set.

Just hope the Mars landing goes as well tomorrow as this mission has gone.

News this morning had a picture of a cratered, 2 1/2 mile diameter comet core. Interesting.

gekkogecko,

The context is distinctly different from the one in which I usually say this, but - nice pics! Thank you.
