Bloody good-for-nothing pop-ups on the Internet really do piss me off. One just popped up, and I closed it by clicking the "close window" link at the bottom of the window, and what does it do? Close ALL of the Internet Explorer windows I have open (about 7), and I was like, "you bastard, what right d'ya have doing that?"

Pop-ups are getting worse and worse on the Internet. It's beyond a joke that they make fuck all money on it, so the advertisers may as well give up whilst they're ahead.

MP3's 4 Free.net (http://www.mp3s4free.net) which has now closed down I believe (can't get into it lately) has a very bad habit of putting a whole load of folders and Internet links into your Favorites menu without permission.

Pop-ups like these should be made illegal. They really are out of control. Sorry to go on, but this is one thing I've just wanted to get off my chest for a while now. I see now that full screen pop-ups come up without an X button (close button) and you can't even fucking Alt+F4 it!

How I'd love to kebab each and every last one of the bastard people who make these. Pop off to them, that's what I say.

My advice (choose one):

Download the Google Toolbar for IE, or another similar program that includes pop-up blocking (and it's FREE).

Get your hands on the Longhorn Beta (which also includes pop-up blocking) - but unless you're a M$ developer, it's not exactly legal.....

Switch. Mozilla, Netscape, Firebird are all freebies, all with different features (Firebird is browser only, Mozilla is Browser/Mail+News/IRC Client, Netscape is Browser/Mail+News/AIM Client), and all include pop-up blocking.

This was sent to me a few days ago. I have not looked at it yet so I have no idea how good it is but the person I got it from has always given me good stuff.

Free Popup Blocker - - http://1naday.com/apb/
The simple to use Anti-Popup Bar is the only tool you need to stop popups in Internet Explorer forever!

Or alternatively, take a sledgehammer to this computer, as it's worn out, too damn slow and has about 101 other things wrong with it (unlike my new hi-tech Laptop :D)

Whatever. There are alternatives though, that's my point.

The last country to enter 2004 is a rotten egg...bad luck, America(!)

Actually, looking on a world time zone map, Nicaragua and Mexico and everything in between them will have their new year's one hour before the USA starts. Sorry. :p
