View Full Version : The emotions of Christmas

I am sitting here on Christmas Eve watching Carols by Candlelight on TV as I prepare for a busy Christmas Day.

Being a sentimental person the stirring music moves my heart and emotions. The Hallelujah Chorus is playing and it lifts me to the heights and O holy night brought tears to my eyes.

I think of my loved ones, my parents who for the first time in my life will not be with us, my internet love of 5 years who hurt me so badly but who i will always love, my dear friends at pixies and in particular one ex pixie, Miss X who has been a true and treasured friend for such a long time. A perfectly platonic but so rewarding and enriching friendship and we will meet at Easter 2004 :).

Life is made of sorrow and joy and it at times such as the wonder of Christmas that you experience it all at once it seems.

I will be with my family on Christmas day as it should be. I send all you wonderful sexy and caring people the best and heartiest wishes for a wonderful and fulfilling Christmas, may it be filled with love and beauty.

God bless you all

God bless you, too. Your post captured the feelings I often get at Christmas. The presents are fun, but the peace and the love is what it's really all about.

Hope your Christmas is a wonderful one.

Awww, what the heck ... hugs to ya'.

MERRY CHRISTMAS IAN!!

Mum & Dad may not be with you in the flesh but they are there in spirit. I'm sure you will feel them near when you share memories of past years. Something that has helped me alot is that I hang something tiny on the Christmas tree that either belonged to a departed loved one or just reminds me of them. Most people looking at my tree would not even notice. But my kids love retelling the stories each year as we decorate our tree. Thier favorite is the tiny water gun & the story about great-grandpa, Pop. It keeps memories alive and helps us cope with thier absence during the holidays.

You are a wonderful person Ian and I know true love will find you and you'll live happily ever after.

Have a great day with your family, from beginning to end.
