Watching Top Of The Pops tonight (England, BBC1), I really did feel for Ozzy Osbourne after his recent death-cheat. His daughter Kelly was talking about him and the poor girl became quite emotional. Seeing his video several times tonight whilst channel hopping made me realise what a great guy he really is, despite his past, and the *bleeping* language he may use.

18 months ago I knew the name but not the face. Now? I know him for what he is...and love him!

What do others think of Ozzy Osburne?

ukG²,

Yeah, that was before the glasses. I don't know when he started wearing them.

Have admired his talent for ages~~~was due to see him play in Glasgow in Oct. Feel that he should take care of himself now~~and not to become a characature of what he once was. His family have had a lot of heartache~~~and his kids are still young ~~~~handling lives difficulties is hard enough~~~but to be in the public eye, for whatever reason, and having to deal with the issues they have had too must be shattering~~~~God give them strength and courage.

Lastnight I was watching The Osbournes on MTV. Ozzy, Kelly & Jack were on a coach, and this happened:

KELLY: You're probably the kinda person who wakes up in the morning, has a wank and goes out pulling women, saying "Yeah, I'm that person off the Osbournes show!"

JACK: You're right, I wake up in the morning and then go and do that.

OZZY: *Holds out hand to handshake with Jack...* Well done, son, keep in there, that's the way.

Comical! :D

I have never been found of the "entertainer" Ozzy...

BUT..

The 'Man"... I have great admiration for.. I have read many things about him over the years... and he has always surprised me how different he actually is from his public persona..

I never carred much for the Black Sabbath/ Iron Maiden venue of Rock amd Roll.I've seen his show a couple of times and was not impressed.Ozzy was the name of the head of the Nelson household from the 50's.Things have come full circle?

I think he's so funny listenin to him ramble on, but also had some good hits...I've come to love his interviews w/ Howard Stern the best, seems to be a real great, funny guy

Ozzy is a VERY diverse person. He has spent most of his life, or at least from what I know, in the eye of the media. Even with all the different antics (like the bat incident) he has tried his best to be just one thing -- HIMSELF.

He has stated that he is the "F***ing Prince of Darkness" so many times on their show that it has become quite funny to hear it now.

Yeah, sure, Ozzy isn't what many people see as the "ideal" father-figure, but so what...In today's world, all the ideals we had of a perfect family have been torn asunder. So what, his family curses and does things that most would never dream of. But, at least they LOVE one another...without conditions and without regrets.

As for his music, I have listened to it since I was a young teen and still love the sound of his voice. Some of his music isn't all that great to some...but there are songs that have touched many people.

The whole point to my rant is that I, for one, LOVE Ozzy -- the man, the musician, and the father of a wonderful family.

Ozzy is alright. Howard Stern should be boiled and peeled.
