That's it IAKG! TY hun!
Yep.....they are playing the entire thing as I type this.......and I've got to say.......I get it, but I don't! I'm not the biggest Beatle fan around.......so that might have something to do with my seeming disinterest.........but hubby says.....put on head phones and listen and it's a whole other world!
So, I was wondering what you all thought (if you've heard any yet) of the Beatles with no frills!?
An example....."Back in the U.S.S.R" is playing right now.....and well....it's ok.....but....hmmmmmm? I dunno.......I need to hear from some Beatle fans!
P.S........I've always thought Ringo sucked [the big one] as a drummer! But hey...that's just me!

I like it.
I think it was superb without Phil Spectors additions.

I like it too....sometimes too much extra takes away from the simplicity of the song

Have heard some clips on the radio, it sounded great! Love those guys! Still hard to believe that George is gone now...
Also heard some re-done Bon Jovi on the radio this AM...I love Bon Jovi but these songs sound like an airport lounge act...YUCK!

OK......OK.........I guess there was a certain something that drew me to them............cause I just heard "Don't Let Me Down" and "Across the Universe" and......and I have to say.........
I forgot how much I like John's voice (some will say it is Paul who does it for them).....and his style.....that made the Beatles who they were!

In 1969 Let It Be was the last album the Beatles did together. It was largely left unfinished.I think it was the Beatle's Manager and Prodcer George Martin that agreed to have Phil Spector work on the tunes by creating an ogestrated "wall of sound for which Spector is famous for.The surviving Beatles Paul Macartney and Ringo Starr along with Yoko Ono deceided to strip away Spector's overlays and restore the music back to it's orginal form.I have not yet heard the album, but I have heard a few cuts that were on the Beatle's Anthology album.Of which I liked: Accross The Universe the best.Big Beatle's fan.Cried when John Lennon was Assassinated and when George Harrison died,I spent most of the day just listening to Blue Jay Way.
