Ok

A close friend and ex-lover, told me that -

Women around late 20's early 30's often chase men for sex and make it very very obvious. She had found that most men get scared and back off, even from "No strings sex", "Shag fests" etc

I have never experienced this, but i'm kinda thick and have missed many opportunities, only on reflection did i see that it was a lot more than I thought EG - amazing girly giving me tickets for the Marseille underground out of the blue on a beautiful, star-filled night in a hostel in Florence, A girl going out for a drink, asking me back to hers dumping her B/F on route offering me a smoke (hash) and me saying good night, another girly telling me about her sex life,,

Am I a bit dense - What are the signs? Except for the obvious and why are some men scared of sex??

Kinda puzzled

human nature... I think... and maybe the fear of rejection... or atleast that is my experience... I find it hard to believe what I think I see when it may come to a man being interested in me... so.. I explain it away... "ah, he didn't mean that", or "I must have misunderstood that"... etc..

as a woman.. I guess it just never enters my mind that a man could be scared of sex... maybe I am wrong..

I do not know, she is convined that men are scared of direct women and have images of how women should be - possibly it's about performance?

In my teens I was a bit shy but that quickly evaporated. While I was, a few ladies threw themselves at me and I was just too insecure to believe what was right before my eyes.

You know, I often develop friendships with guys and am shocked as hell when they later hit on me. So I guess I suck at seeing the signs also. Either that, or I'm irrestible.

I'm terrible at seeing signs as well. Guys run hot and cold with their emotions and how they interact with ya...how's a girl to tell all the time? And they think WE are confusing! :p

I think guys get concerned about performance ... either being too quick to completion or suddenly having a problem with getting an erection ... and worrying what the lady might then think of him. Whether he needs to be concerned about that or not, I think it happens and is a bit harder to deal with emotionally if the woman isn't well known to him but is being more aggressive.

there was a guy i was overwhelmingly attraced to back in the day. he knew i was attracted to him and things never worked out. for one, hes terribly shy and when you mix a forward female with a timid male, things dont work out to well since the male in a sense has lost his power.

Wildeye! Send this direct woman to me and tell her to be as direct as possible!!!
She sounds like my dream woman!

I hate all the innuendo, meaningful glances and concealed hints - bugger it! Just tell me you want to root me!

I won't believe you, but I sure as hell won't turn you down!
