Ever since I was a kid in school many moons ago,I heard about women who wore black and red on Friday.Does anybody know the significance behind it? The two colours toghther are very sexy.

I have never heard the expression but my best guess would be that it refers to a woman who is all business in her daily life but comes alive on the weekends ( speaking particularily of her sexuality). But it's just a guess.

Noir et Rouge is the name and presumably colours of an anarchist revolutionary group started in France in the 1950's. They are still active in the anti-globalisation movement.
Still - red and black makes me think of Catholic Priest's vestments?

I have heard of anarcists wearing black but not with red.I have heard this for many years beginning in grade school. At the turn of the century and during the 20's and 30's the busiest night for prostitutes was Friday the end of the work week and the beginning of the weekend. Most of the parisian men were out on the town wth their mistresses. The prostitutes wore Black and red to advertise their profession and for many years the colours were associated with this.
