Just venting...

Went to the grocery store this evening (after 8:00 pm) got my shopping done and at the checkout ... directly in front of me were 3 teenage girls ... (juniors or seniors in high school - so 16-18 yrs old) ... this is the last week of school here in Southern California ... so finals week .... anyway these 3 girls were all in their underwear ... 1 had on a crop t-shirt and hip hugger panties and 1 had on bikini panties and a chef's apron and one had on boxers and a high cut crop top and knee high black opaque nylons .... all 3 had on fuzzy mule slippers .... the checker asked what they were doing and they said it was for their Psychology final ... testing people's reactions and such .... they all had on dark glasses or dark goggles .... my question is ... what in the heck was the exact assignment that sent teenage girls out in just their underwear ... I'm hoping that they took the assignment to an extreme that the teacher didn't think of ... but geez!!!!

Weird world we live in... If I didnt have a 17 year old daughter myself I would want the footage too (joking)... sounds too young to be sent on such assignements or dream them up themselves for my liking...maybe i am old fashioned.

I'll admit I do have a puritanistic streak that runs wide through me, but for the most part don't worry about what others do ... but these were underage girls on what they said was a school assignment ... that's my concern in this situation ... like you Passion Please, I'm a bit old fashioned, especially when it comes to minors!

That's not to say I don't see the humor in some of the other comments, just that I was a bit shocked at the extreme nature and the school ties to it I guess.....

Horrible thing is, the whole time I kept thinking ..... Pantyfanatic should really be here for this. :)

Girl, it seems like those youngings get an "A" in my grade book...for "T&A" that is...I feel that it is harmless act and if they were on an assignment for school it was most likely a radical intrepetation of the assignment I bet the teacher didn't say "I want every one of my female student to go out shopping in their skimpiest underware and see if you get a reaction"

Girls will be girls I guess and this may have been a bit of a dare amongst themselves...which in the long run is better than boys being boys and someone getting punched.
.......and better it be a psych assignment than one for biology class, you know the girls looking for men's reactions like the tell-tale tenting of the trousers and all...............

I can't be positive but this truly reeks of a girlish game (like truth or dare) as opposed to a classroom assignment. Any teacher in his/her right mind would never assign such homework to any age group, but especially teen girls. The implications alone are shocking and for that part I agree with you fzzy. This is how some "innocent" teacher's get into trouble. Maybe the assignment was left up to interpretation and the girls thought this would be a fun and sexy way of fulfilling it. I'd be willing to bet the farm that there was no specific assignment of this nature. It may have been that they were to do something in public that they wouldn't normally do to document the people's reaction.....such as: pick your nose or go out in curlers....etc., and these girls took it to this level.

Or............there may not have been an assignment at all and they just used that as an excuse to give to onlookers.....to go out in their underwear.

On a lighter note..........I see some future Pixie exhibitionist's in the making here!

Firstly, it sure as hell wasn't a school assignment..... it was a bit of fun! My guess is they were having a sleep-over party or something and decided to be a bit silly! It's like going streaking or something, I don't think they were in any real danger - after 8PM there are usually still quite a few people in supermarkets, at least there are here. And they probably had a friend in the carpark ready to whisk them away, or they had their own car.

It's kids being kids I think. And far better than getting wasted drunk and having unsafe sex.

That's not to say I condone it - it probably wasn't the smartest thing they've ever done. But they had fun, they got their thrills, and no harm done.

I come from southern africa where most things are still very old fashioned or very exreme, we wouldnt see it done here. I am an open person and think I am tolerant... so would smile and keep my thoughts to myself if i saw it.

I freely admit to also coming from a fairly sheltered existence ... and my little town ... although in southern California is very residential ... not much going on after 8:00 pm in public places .... I'm sure they were safe enough ... afterall there were 3 of them (teenage girls frequently travel in herds LOL) ... just was a bit taken aback by the casual approach of it .... standing in line at the grocery store. Never in a million years would I be that bold!!! Ah well, moving on now .... :)

The night before graduation instead of going to a party and getting wasted, like the majority of my senior class. Me and 3 girlfriends camped out in my friends backyard. It was a very hot night and at about 11pm the rain hit. We all walked around the city streets in just our underwear and wet white t-shirts...We were on residential streets, but still quite close to the main drag, which was a notorious cruising street. It was all kind of risque and loads of fun...We had quite a few honking horns as we strolled around in the rain on that hot night and I should also add quite a few laughs. Safe? Not really... Smart? Not really... but a great memory and lots of fun.
