What is it that signifies the kiss of death in a relationship, friendship, or in a sexual situation?
What is it that is the thing that will absolutely finish it off with no hope of resuscitation?

When they blow you off, backstab you, and run off with other people (in any combination, or, worst, all of the above)!

It would depend upon the relationship. And it would also depend upon my mood at the time the possible "kiss of death" occured. I have also learned to never assume that in dealing with people, they are going to understand me fully all of the time. I also have a tendency to give people more chances than they sometimes deserve.
Respect and Trust are high qualities on my list that if any of my relationships viloated would and has lead to the "kiss of death". The older I get, the less patience I have for those types of things. But, first and foremost, if the relationship is one that is very important to me, I will talk about it with that person before deciding that it is over.

I nod and concur with Cheyanne... it is all about trust and respect, but miscommunication often leads to unnecessary strife. Only after a good chat would I give up on a relationship.

I'd agree with Passion Please and Cheyanne--violation of trust and respect, after some indepth communication.

I'm with quisath.
When you can no longer communicate with your partner I find that the next things to go are:
Trust
Fun (highly underrated within relationships)
Good Sex
Consideration for the other
Respect
I believe it all stems from communication.......as for what causes that to go....I dunno. Could be any number of things I suppose. But complacency is definitely something that would be high on my personal list of experience with this kind of thing.

Oh...I agree with Lou on this one....Relationships so must stay fun....and dont tell me its impossible for long periods. Sure there may be down times in all relationships...but everythign can be stepped away from for short periods and remember why you are together in the 1st place.

Rightly or wrongly, with me it's lies.
Not the little white ones. But in my little life, there's no such thing as one big one. They travel in packs. They insult me, demean the person telling them, and deny that there's anything worth keeping between us.

"I feel bad about the way that my relationship ended with (your predecessor... the recent ex girl or boy friend)." so what if it was just after he found out he had MS..... he refused to go to counseling and tried to commit suicide three times in three months...... after 10 years of other shit he deserved to be dumped.............. oh uh sorry nevermind
