You should prolly have sex;)
Get in good shape and eat properly! Get lots of rest and do everything you have ever wanted to do without taking a diaperbag and stroller:p

Sugar and spice and all things nice......... that's what little girls are made of :D:D
I really think you're hoping a bit to think that you can genuinely make sure you only have a baby girl!!
Mother Nature doesn't like people trying to muscle in on her territory!!

Sorry, but I think you have to take what you get...having a healthy baby should be more important than it's gender.
But anyway, here's an article that you might find interesting...(hope the link works)

Excellent point Christine and hey looks like I was right about sugar and spice LOL
If You Want a Girl...
> Both partners should eat lots of fish and veggies.
> Give in to your chocolate craving (or just eat sweets in general).
(Yes the link works ;))

I have heard that supposedly you can alter the ph (one way or the other) inside the vagina which will give the male or female determining sperm a better chance.
This is long and I am not touting it as the answer but makes for interesting reading

Ahh its a wonderful suprise of nature! Just hope for the healthy part and whatever it is, it will be an incredible thing. But once you get preg and after a few months I think the mother knows what she will have. At least I did anyways. :) Good Luck.

Did you know:
1) You have to be a more fertile couple to have a girl than to have a boy.
2) More male children are conceived than female, but their mortality rate is higher. That is to say that more males are miscarried/ die during infancy.
Basically, what I'm saying is that the healthier you and your partner are, the better your chances are of having a healthy child, and you may stack the odds in your favour of having a girl.
Your doctor should be able to give you more information about what you should and shouldn't do before you stop using contraceptives.
I'd also say talk to your mother, and sisters if you have any who are already parents. It may give you an idea of any complications you may be predisposed to during pregnancy and an idea of how long you're likely to be trying before you conceive.
But then again.....I don't have kids, so what do I know?!

You stand in the middle of a room
Lift your left leg and keep it perfectly horizontal
then lift your right leg at the same time.
When you hit the ground, consider this kicking yourself in the ass
:D :D
Sorry CP....Good luck getting knocked up.

Lol skip, a fat lot of help you are, but I do agree that a healthy baby is far more important than having the gender you prefer.
Mother nature doesn't always get it right, would I wouldn't dare mess with her. ( or Lilith)

Speaking of folic acid..... ORANGE JUICE...not just good for you but for him as well. Vit.C helps in sperm production if I remember right. It's been so long since I *wanted* to get pregnant.

I don't know how you guys and gals could be so unfeeling. After all, the poor girl is resigning herself to a 20 year sentence and all you can do is give helpful hints on how to get started?

A healthy baby whatever the sex should be the main concern first and foremost. I did read once though that if you were trying for a girl you should have unprotected sex a few days before ovulation. There are many more male sperm than female sperm, but the male sperm apparently die off quickly...so the theory is the female sperm will be all that are left when ovulation occurs.

What day is good for you?
But seriously, have you been trying long? My wife and I had a hard time conceiving our middle child and resorted to the temperature chart. Within two months (and about 30 coital sessions) she was pregnant. I swear, by the time she was pregnant we were both saying "I'll never do that again". Oddly enough, children one and three were easy.

I don't know of any proven techniques or remedies for ensuring the sex of your child. In the end, your hubby either gives you that little Y chomosome or he doesn't.

Actually there is a scientificly proven method...Here it comes...the big evil "e"...exercise. X sperm are tougher and can survive the heat and weird stressess of exercise better. By killing the male sperm off there a higher chance of a fermale sperm fertizlizing your egg. Also by havinf sex durign yuor peroid the sperm have to wait around and that kills off more male sperm than female. Higher chance of your next egg being female fertilized. THere's no 100% method, but these should at least scew the odds a bit.

Female sperm swim slower and live longer (after ejaculation).....so they take longer to get there, while conserving energy as they pass all the dead male sperm on their way.............. male sperm swim faster and use up all their energy darting past all the female sperm, but die sooner....which is one of the reasons that boys are concieved more than girls.......they get to an egg first if they don't die along the way!
Stand up and walk around after he cums in you. Make it harder for the male sperm to swim upstream! LOL!
And......IAKG said it best.........to prepare your body for pregnancy in 2005......start taking folic acid NOW! Find out the proper dosage and begin as soon as possible. Also CP.....you should see a doctor for a physical and instructions on the care of your body in preparation for pregnancy.
But first and foremost.......are you really ready for a child CP? It's truly none of my business, but from some of your recent threads it seems that you and your S/O might want to work on making your relationship the best it can be....with no lingering issues......before you bring a child into your life. Not that having a baby wouldn't make you happy but........ if you want a child because you think it will make the relationship better it might backfire if that's the ONLY reason you want a baby. It could bring about the exact opposite result than what you expect and hope for.
Please think this through and take my best wishes with you..........whatever you decide! And don't forget.......folic acid!

I'm the mother of boys. Mine are now 8 yrs old and 12yrs. old and I love it. Having boys has been such a blast. We have the greatest times together.
Of course this means that my house is always full of boys. I always have a few that aren't mine hanging around, and every week-end I have a least 1-2 of their friends sleeping over.
But back to the question at hand.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE being the mother of boys.
I know you will love and cherish whatever you get when the time comes. As soon as you hold that little bundle in your arms, it's love at first sight. Ya' just can't help yourself !!!!!

just relax.depending your current type of birth control. if pills you should use condoms for the first month following coming off the pill to get your bodys hormaone levels normalized. most couples about 60% will be pregnant within 3 monts.and another 20-25% will be by 6 months. but beforehand get in shape and take care of yourself
