Had a conversation with a fellow Pixie once............where he argued the point that sexually explicit avatars on a "General" forum (a forum that is NOT geared toward sex....but just every day talk) is so politically incorrect and insulting to members who do not wish to view all this "smut stuff".

I took the counterpoint (as I am known to do........being the devil's advocate) that at Pixies we are subjected to peruse and post from forum to forum with only one avatar......and the time consuming process of changing our av from one forum to another shouldn't be necessary since......."WE ALL KNOW THIS IS INITIALLY A SEX SITE WHETHER ALL FORUMS ARE SEXUAL OR NOT".

Opinions please!!!!!!

Good Heavens.. what else would one expect to see at an adult oriented sex site... Like the Mistress above stated.. they have the option to turn off the view avatar option... so my advice to them would be to learn how to use it. :)

I think that was his point Lilith! That when we (those with sexually explicit avatars) came to a sexually non-explicit forum........we should turn our avs off or make a non-explicit one for posting in that thread. If I turn my av "off" it doesn't appear in ANY of my replies or posts.......no matter the thread I previously posted on......I can't make one for one forum and one for another.

His being insulted.......actually insulted me.........as I didn't say to him........come to this site and see what you want to see and you won't see what insults you! I think it's kinda rude to say that our avatars are insulting to him.........beings this is a sex site!

We only get one av at a time and it fluctuates through all our posts regardless of where or when they were posted. This is an adult sexually oriented site. There is not one forum here where being sexual is inappropriate. I know that on occasion we digress and talk about non-sexual things but somehow the conversation always comes back to sex;)

When I used to surf Pixies at work, I'd make the window extra small so you couldn't tell what the avs were (unless you were sitting at my desk). That way, I could still enjoy the avs and perv at work!

I love to be able to use my sexual bunnies here. I am very active on a family forum and use all my fun bunnies there. We have rules as far as using sexualy explicit avs there. I am sure I could prob use my sexual bunnies there no prob, but for the coomon good of everyone I dont. Most of the people ther are older and wouldnt mind but we do have to becareful for the younger ones that do visit. As far as it being politically correct or whatever..(on other non sexual forums) I think its just a simple rule of show some (nonsexual) class. :)

(I didn't realize you could turn off the av's either. Learned something new. Of course, I don't know why I would ever do that. I agreee with Cheyanne, I think the av's are fun to look at and do provide some insight on the person using them ... ribbit :D)
