In the past, some hopeful story writers have expressed that they were leary of posting here at Pixies because they did not believe their grammital skills were up to par. So Fzzy and I have decided to start a Proofreading/Proofing program for those who are interested. To start it off we are seeking any of you lovely people that would like to volunteer to proof and make suggestions to the authors of these stories.

So if you know your too's from two's from to's from toes...:D ....PM me and we will put you on the list. (not to mention you get 1st peek at new stories this way)

Thanks......

I'd help if you need it; I was a medical copyeditor for 24 years; whether I like it or not, editing is in my blood. By the way, did you misspell grammatical on purpose (smile)?

I'll volunteer for proofreading and notes. I used to drive a gal I know totally crazy - she was an English Lit major, I just did computers, but I would rip her stuff to pieces with a red pen (spelling and such of course, still teased the heck out of her about it though). Is that mean? ;)

Yes it is, Dadaist, but is it meaner than telling off your SO for mispronouncing words and making grammatical errors in speech? (Guilty as charged. Sorry Fussy)

I would like to help out too, I am a bit of a stickler for correct spelling and can even spell like an american if I have to, LOL though it hurts taking the U out of colour :(.

I have written some magazine articles and proof read a lot of submissions over the years.

Would it be easier to have a "spell checker" option for our replies?

Not quite the same thing, but I always find after I hit "Submit Reply" that I've mis-spelled something. Spellcheck would be nice.

Sometimes you can get the message even without the conventions of spelling.
