I'm not all that well traveled ... been to about 40 of the US States, into Canada a couple of times (but not very far over the border either time) and into Mexico, but just into the border towns .... kind of a homebody I guess. :)

I've been to America 3 times.
Corfu (Greek Island) once.
Would Scotland and Wales count ? They're different countries just part of the UK :D

I'm sorry to say that I've never been out of the USA. I don't count Tijuana (Mexico) when I went there for a couple of hours with my family when I was in high school. I have a master's in Chinese studies and am a Buddhist from a sect out of Japan, but I've never been fortunate enough to go to any part of Asia. Would love to go to Australia, New Zealand, parts of Asia, Russia, Sweden, and Norway (since I still have relatives in Sweden and Norway). Maybe someday...when I win the lottery....

I've been a VERY lucky girl, when it comes to traveling. I've been to

France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece (mainland), Cyprus, Corfu, Rhodes, Crete, Malta, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Morocco, Kenya, Indonesia (and Scotland and Wales if they count - I think any Scot or Welshman would say that they do! Lol)

Places I'd LOVE to visit: Australia, the States, Canada, Thailand and Malaysia (been to the airport to stop for refuelling but didn't get off the plane!)

I've only ever traveled the eastern coast of the US and up into Canada......from Key West (most southern point in the US) and every state all the way up to Canada. Not all in the same day of course...lol! Almost went to Cuba (by boat) one day....but the captain got sick and we didn't make it. I've been as far west as Ohio....whoopie! But I'd love to travel to the west coast.....Washington, California...etc. with a few stops in between and then over to Hawaii. And I'd love to see Ireland, England, Scotland and Australia. We should all do a Pixies time share thing. LOL! Who wants to stay in a farmhouse in N.E. Pennsylvania?

Canada once. September 1998
Germany twice. June 1991 and July 1992-July 1993.
And the US the rest of the time.

For places like Australia/USA/Canada, it might also be meaningful to say how many states/provinces/etc you've been to.

So in that case:

USA:
New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan (Upper and lower), Virginia, DC and Florida.

Canada: Ontario only

Germany: Every Bundesland (there are 16) EXCEPT Baden-Württenburg and the Saarland.

I've lived and travelled all over Canada and have visited the States. I'm planning trips to Malta (where my grandfather was born), the Czech Republic, Ireland and Cuba.

SOON!

Without being TOO nationalistic.... is it CANADA and USA... or should it just be North America?!?!

Sorry...... couldn't resist that one!! :)

My opinion.... ALL the countries of the UK (England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales) have their own, very different cultural identities, as well as sharing many aspects. So it's not true to say, "seen one, seen 'em all" {Mustn't forget the Isle of Man either.... that's TOTALLY different from ALL the rest!!}

As for contries I've visited.... Morocco, Spain, France (no comments please!) Greece, Italy, England (!!), Wales, Ireland, Canary Islands (3 out of 4) Austria, Germany........and U S of A!!!

Loved them all!

well, going on land mass alone it could be independent countries out here in the form of states... trust me Maine is a very different place (people and culture) than Texas :)

Have seen both oceans (Maine & California) drove through the state in the path to end up there.. lol

Been through Canada (beautiful country) from Saint Soux Marie (sp) through to go to New Hampshire (avoided driving through the USA on that one and don't regret it one bit)

I’ve seen the White Cliffs of Dover from the deck of a ship but never entered GB:(. Seen a lot of Germany, a little of Austria, some of northern Italy and a lot of eastern France. I also spent some time in Okinawa, with visits to Cambodia, Thailand and Laos.

Guess who my travel agent was?

Have seen most of the US, but oddly, little west of the Cascades or Sierras that wasn’t on business. I have visited Mexico, the northern boarder huggers;) and Bahama Is.

I AM going to touch the Sequoias and visit the very unique people of (check it out before you flip:rolleyes: ) Iceland yet.

LOL PF ... just making sure no one thought I was saying I was well traveled in Canada (or Mexico for that matter) .... I crossed into Canada at Niagra Falls and also spent a couple of days in the western area --- Glacier National Park. both incredibly beautiful, but don't even begin to think I got much of a look at a country of such vast proportions! :)

Live in the US and have been pretty fortunate to have seen quite a bit of it...but still have many places in the states that I would love to go to. I unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to go overseas yet. I have had plans to travel abroad twice and was unable to go for various reasons. The only "out of the country" places I have been are: Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica. And I have a list about a mile and a half long of all the places I would love to visit someday.

What an excellent question, I don't actually know I'll have to count it out.

1 Canada (home)
2 12 States
3 Germany
4 Austria
5 Switzerland
6 Luxembourg
7 Australia
8 Fiji
9 Japan
10 Tiawan
11 Malaysia

Looks like 10 foriegn countries. I tried to emmigrate to Australia in when I was in school in Brisbane, but they wouldn't have me. Everywhere else on the planet is barely livable compared to Brizzy.
