my hubby keep saying that MOST, MOST young ladies like to date or marry to older man, coz they feel secure and being cutie and lovely with him.

in my case ok that is so true to me and it is so true to those Asia countries like my country China. Also in Vietnam, and other asian countries like Japan, Korea and etc...

what about America, North America and other caucasin ? i want to know how other think ?

what i was describe above is most cases, that mean most young ladies in Asia like to marry to older man, may be much older man. but not as much as like 15 years older. may be about 5 to 10 years older than the ladies.

I want to know how us here in North America is? what is the most in here ???

My first long term relationship.....we were near the same age. He was only 2 years older than me.

My second l/t relationship (and we did eventually marry)....he was 11 years older than me. We are divorced (and his age had a little to do with it).

My current l/t relationship (and we are married now)......He is 8 years younger than me and I think I can speak for both of us and say....we love it that way and it's working out perfectly!

Hopes this helps in your comparison.

I think overall it's the American men who prefer to marry women who are younger than they are. I think they often think of it as sort of a status symbol or a good boost for their ego if their spouse or SO is younger than they are, especially if by quite a bit. I think it is more a case of the men wanting younger women than the women wanting older men. (After writing this paragraph, I may need to run for cover!)

If I were to be really crass, I'd say many women are looking for sugar daddies (which often means that the men are older than they are), and many men are looking for trophy wives.

I am 8 months older than my ex-husband, but, as I mentioned in another thread, I am 12 years older than my fiance. So far, so good.

I would say it depends on your age of when you get married.

My first, ex-wife, and I were about the same age when we got married. I was in my 20's. My current wife is 5 years younger than me. We got married when I was in my 30's.

The point I'm trying to make is the older you get, the less it matters about age difference.

Family history has had the women on both sides of my family going for the younger men...and for myself, it's been the same situation with the guys I've dated except for one (and the whole younger thing with me certainly was not on purpose...it just happens that way...)

I'm with a younger guy and it works great for us. Kudos to the men who date older women, I say!

I went to an all girl's school and it was a big status symbol to go out with a guy who was older than you.

I'm afraid that the tendancy to think that way is still in me somehow and although I certainly have never gone out looking for an older guy, if I meet someone, like them and then find out they are older than me, then it's a bonus.

However I should stress that my last two relationships were with guys younger than myself and Fussy is only a few years older than me, so it doesn't really make much difference with us.

a few yrs older then my father. One of my wifes sisters is older
